This is what the swordsman looks like with ... well, you know...

(new Royal guard image on previous page, BTW.)

Regarding Royal Guard: The pose and gold trim do seem to get rid of the "half steel checkerboard" effect nicely, so congrats on an excellent standing frame. Two minor crits: (a) am I the only one who thinks his head is too far to the left? (b) the TC sword hilt blends into the TC wrist... not sure if the hilt should change color or what.

No comment on the swordsman :)

Latest Royal Guard: The new look with the shield and all is nice. I'm a bit iffy about all the gold, but I guess it looks good. His left arm (holding sword) looks very ill-defined, doesn't stand out from the grass background.

Swordsman: The Grunt-style 'crotch-plate' looks better IMO.

The rest: Coo.

I'm giving one more serious try at the loin-strip, since wayfarer deserves it.

A, B, C, left to right. Name your favorite vocally, because I'm gonna pick one, and keep it.

(I'm personally warming up to B).

B is Best.
A is Acceptable and C draws too much attention to Crotch which you are trying to avoid.
I wish I had more time in my hands.

B is Best, although C is perfectly fine, and A reminds me of one of those dreams where you show up at school with nothing but your underwear on.

D, a combination of B & C, with the cod piece more shadowed as in C, but with the belt of B:
