Donations may be sent to David White using PayPal at the email address david_AT_whitevine.net. If you want to donate, but don't want to use PayPal, you can email at this address to discuss alternative money transfer methods.
Donations should generally be considered as personal gifts to David, and definitely are not tax deductible.
Use of donations is at his discretion, but generally they will be used to purchase hardware or other goods or services that support Wesnoth development. Developers who feel their work on Wesnoth could be enhanced through the acquisition of certain goods or services may write to me and we may allocate some funds toward what they want.
If we cannot find a use for some funds, they may be donated to a charitable organization. Funds received and what they are used for will be published on the website.
No-one should feel pressured to donate, and contributions in terms of coding, artwork, music, sound effects, testing, and feedback are the preferred ways people can contribute to Wesnoth.
The names of donors may be published in the 'About' section of the game or on the website. When you donate, please specify how you would prefer your name to appear (can be a nickname or your full name), or specify that you would prefer to remain anonymous.
Donors may specify a preference for what they would like their funds to be used for, or certain game features that they would like to see. Although we will try to honor their preferences and implement the features they want, we can't make any guarantees.
