Wesnoth 1.1.11 (aka Wesnoth 1.2 RC1)

Postby isaac » October 5th, 2006, 1:01 pm

Wesnoth 1.1.11 is out!

1.1.11 is our first release candidate for the forthcoming 1.2 release. We are really near 1.2 now!

1.1.11 contains some new fixes (including multiplayer lobby ones), and also a nice new swamp.

You can check details at the changelog.

Downloads:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesnoth/wesnoth-1.1.11.tar.gz?download
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesnoth/wesnoth-1.1.11.tar.gz.md5?download
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesnoth/wesnoth-1.1.11.tar.gz.sig?download

There have been tons of changes in the images (profile stripping) that have caused tons of changes to the source, so the XDelta between 1.1.10 and 1.1.11 was to big to be useful.

As a fallback you can also get files from
http://files.wesnoth.org/ - you should first try to get files
through SourceForge to help us save bandwidth.

devsrv.wesnoth.org:14999 is ready to be used for multiplayer games

Instructions for bug reporting can be found at
http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/ReportingBugs

The Mac OS X build is already available at:
Standard http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesnoth/Wesnoth_MacOSX_1.1.11.dmg?download
Lite http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesnoth/Wesnoth_MacOSX_1.1.11_lite.dmg?download

Packages for Debian are also ready and available at Debian mirrors and the Windows packager has already been notified.

Enjoy!

This is great, but the changelog seems incomplete... a lot of maps/animations were changed but nothing about that is written in the changelog

But now i'm back and here are the actual ebuild:
For the development version 1.1.11 use:
http://www.dorf.cc/priv/markus/wesnoth-dev.tbz
or use
http://www.dorf.cc/priv/markus/wesnoth-svn.tbz
for a actual build from the 1.3 svn tree.

Seems to me like SourceForge server has some problem today. It displays only one mirror server (not only for Wesnoth, but for other programs too), and it is impossible to connect to it... probably it is overloaded. :-(

:) It seems to me that Wesnoth still is improving at good speed. I am curious to see the changes for the next version and what the developer will include as new ideas.

Thanks to all of you for this great game!!

Yeah quite amazing that wesnoth is still going very strong :)

Dont know many other games - maybe some 3D ones, but not 2D ones - that go as strong as wesnoth does.
