Hi,

I played DM as it can be downloaded via the extenxions interface inside Wesnoth from the official server. I'm using the Debian packaged version of wesnoth 1.5.6. It played fine until Shadows in the dark. Then I observed an error:

20081228 09:12:41 error general: Error while playing the game: game_error: Unknown unit type '' while generating traits
I was able to fix this by showing at the diff between the downloaded 14_shadows.cfg and
http://wesnoth-umc-dev.svn.sourceforge. ... ision=2750
I replaced Demilich by Draug in my savegame and was able to continue.

The other problem I was running into that Delfador has lost all his skills and came back as a young mage when he brought the reinforcements to save the elves. He has also lost the magical relict he underground scenario whan he fighted alone. I have no idea whether this is fixed in SVN and this is just a relict in the download version - but I wanted to report this problem here.

Thanks for this nice campaign - hope that it becomes official soon.

Hi once more,

I continued the campaign as described above but observed another strange error after In the King's Council. So I copied the content of the tarball in SVN into my data directory. I did not got the error any more but Delfador again became a young mage. Strangely enough I can recruit an advanced Delfador from the recruitment list as well as a Kalenz unit. I think something went really wrong and I think it is better to post a savegame here and wait for comments before producing more and more irreproducible problems.

I am not sure if that has been mentioned i didn't read it above. When i played the lastest version on the devoplent branch i found that a few of the units which joined Delfador did not have a name. If you want i could find the units and scenarios for you?

Unnamed units issues have been fixed in svn up until scenario 12.
Remaining scenarios are being playtested and bugs fixed as we go.
Please keep these bug reports coming in.
Right now scenario 13 is being substantially rebalanced.
I will be attaching some replays(on hard) in case people have problems with the scenaria.
None of these replayes are optimized.

Scenario 13 should be ok, but I am looking forward to user impressions on balancing in easy and medium,as testing was done in hard. Scenario 14
is broken probably due to the demilich unit. It is currently being tested and will be commited to svn when ready.

Small bug in SVN version.

I have SVN version of campaign (wesnoth 1.5) not starting and reporting error message "Unexpected characters at line start, value '<'" in file scenarios/12_terror_at_the_ford_of_parthyn.cfg, line 1091. I look there and found the following:

That's the effect of santi 'fixing' something that had already been fixed... (by me, over a month ago)

Should be ok now.
Remaining issues :(for IRC)
Briefly
1) there is still an annoying message when scenarios 16 and 17 end
2) Scenario 18 appears to be non-playable(from turn 1 to end)
3) Probably the units left at Abez in Ur-Thorodor should be loyal and follow Delf in scenarios 18-20, but that does not seem to be working yet

I am attaching saves from the end of Ur-Thorodor and the previous scenario plus from scen 16 and also experimental versions of Ur_Thorodor and A new Ally.

This is a set of replays of some of the hardest scenarion under 1.5.7 or 1.5.6
in hard. These have been plyed deliberately with (small) strategic&tactical mistakes,
so as to check that the campaign is playable without requiring perfect strategy+tactics
As of now the scenarios us to scenario 18(not working right now) should be ok in trunk.
There will be an announcement when these are ready

I got a question - when will DM be updated on the 1.5 server?

I play D.M on Wesnoth 1,5,6.
At the scenario 14th I corrected the error of" demilich " and it worked very well.
After I finished the next scenario"Save the prince" and at the end of "Kings council n°16 I found:
"Invalid side(1) found in unit definition."
I looked at the file of the next scenario"dark sky over Weldyn I have not found anything!
What can I do,?

you mean from the add-ons? No, that is not trunk. Even the 1.5.7 version
still needed a correction else scenario 12 was not playing. I was referring to bleeding edge and you also need bleeding edge vesonth(past the official 1.5.7 release) to get this working up till scenario 18. Better yet, wait till
a DM version that (we think) works is released, which should be shortly, probably next week. This can save some frustration. You will be notified on the post in this thread which you should get on your email unless you have specifically disabled this.
