Re: A more colorful look to the main Wesnoth.png map.
I like the mountains part... maybe because it isn't as bright as the rest.

Re: Why still 1.6.5?
Ok thank you, I wasn't aware that 1.7.x had to be stable with ALL builds of the 1.7.x tree. And the ood/even factor, I didn't know that. So once 1.7.9 is complete there will be Wesnoth 1.8 stable? Is that correct? 1.6.0 was the first stable release of the 1.6 branch. 1.6.1, 1.6.2, etc., are all bug...

Including Invasion from the Unknown, iirc.Turuk wrote:There are also plenty of other campaigns that feature undead, depending on how much undead involvement you are looking for, so I would poke around a bit.

Re: level 2's?
I wasn't saying it's not a good idea, just that it will make the campaigns harder, and if the experience is entirely random, it could theoretically make them a lot harder. I was simply suggesting bounding the experience given in order to make it a predictable amount harder so it can be more easily ...

Agreed. It has always been my favorite mini-campaign. Perhaps next time?Zerovirus wrote:Not this time round but maybe one day Ooze Minicampaign could be added.
Seeing how it has no choice of winning right now, though, I'll agree with Dead Water.

Obviously the solution is to attack with a custom/unknown damage type, which all mainline units have a 0% resistance to.Turuk wrote:I have 90% resistance to all damage types.

Re: Why it is difficult to be good at Wesnoth
I particularly find this a problem with the chaotic factions/ a dwarf heavy knalgan army lawful factions I think are somewhat better as they are much more mobile, unless ZOC'd (for example, horseman for loyalists and the majority of the drake army) I don't know, I think Drakes are very vulnerable f...

Re: Great Continent Map (playable)
There's one for Conquest-style gameplay.
I made a different map years ago on my old computer, but unfortunately, I think that's lost to time because I never published it.

Re: Jack's Workshop
I'd recommend experimenting and practicing over and over again and not posting them until they look right. Granted, he should wait until he gets much closer to the style of Wesnoth before posting if that is his goal, but he should at least start posting them once he's getting the hang of the style ...

Re: Jack's Workshop
There's absolutely no consistent style between the two sprites, and neither are in an acceptable Wesnoth-style. I'd recommend experimenting and practicing over and over again and not posting them until they look right. Yes, this means that sometimes entire sprites (with hours of work on them) will n...

Re: Wesnoth for iPhone out now!
If WiFi is on the data is sent over that. If not it's sent over the cell network. I'm hopping in & out of apps all day, I don't want to be charged every time I do so. The desktop version of Wesnoth has an option to collect stats, maybe this should too? Probably the most fitting compromise would...

If no one has posted in months, probably not.
Try the add-on "Modern Combat" for something (somewhat) similar. Alternatively, you could always try reviving this era.

Re: Idea: Labeling units
Personally I'd love the idea. Maybe even just have an option that has the names of each unit displayed in the main game window as a label?
