well, there are numerous ways to implement such a thing, but it would probably require a new AI. Besides, the feature was removed from the engine a few versions ago.

If it is, it should probably be modified so it is installed in the same folder as wesnoth. Either way, the license is found in the source package.

It seems to stop at 'initialized true type fonts'
it also ran once as root, but then had the same problem as normal user.

Whenever I open Wesnoth, it simply refuses to run, and on console just shows the game number and commits no further actions. Groups of players that form a 'guild' or 'group' or whatever for whatever reason, generally in order to allow large numbers of people to get together or to allow a small group to have official designation and inside-jokes/whatever else. Think of the Medieval/Renaissance guild system on multiplayer.

for making AND breaking alliances, we simply need an option to send a message to any player, but to that player alone. For unbreakable alliances, we need a new feature. Perhaps the first would please more people, as well as making the MP experience more pleasant.
