I believe most campaigns are posted on the forums anyway. If not, perhaps someone can set up an ftp interface to the campaign server or something.

What OS are you using? video card drivers? if Unix, are you running X11?

Also, this seems to be an SDL problem and not a Wesnoth problem, so you might want to google that error message.

Actually, turin, it is rather simple. You can disable binary saves IIRC, and then simply extract the map data from a save.

Apparently you have SDL installed but not the other libraries required for the game. SDL_image is separate, and you will need to install it and some other libraries before compiling. I believe you can install these as RPMs, but I haven't used FC so I'm not sure.

One of the problems with this (in my opinion, but I firmly believe that it was the reason your idea was rejected) is that even if you don't believe that this is cheating (which it is, I'll get to that in a moment), options are bad . If only a few players use this option (most will probably agree wit...

This is an interesting idea, but will have to wait due to the feature freeze. Also, there are so many possible improvements to MP that a lot of it will probably change after 1.0.

I don't think files without extensions can be posted on the forums.

EP: lets imagine this position: I have 2 archers able to attack a horseman. If the horseman's HP, minus the expected damage for one archer, has a high enough chance to kill the horseman, I might just try it. Otherwise, I might move my archers into the forest to prevent them from being attacked by sa...

Nor should it give berserkers 100% to kill in some situations. I think what EP wants to say is that your program should round towards 50 - that is, away from 100 and 0.

Is this any different from the gryphon rider?

my response: it might be, but it sounds a lot cooler. Where are the graphics? :P

perhaps if you posted some screenshots people would be more likely to comment. I've downloaded all maps now, but haven't had the opportunity to play them yet :)

There are two questions I have about this idea: 1. What is the leveling tree going to be like? lots of branches, or relatively few units in higher levels? 2. Where are the graphics going to come from? BTW, they sound awesome :) Also note that you don't need to know how to program to add these to the...

The big question seems to be 'How many players could truly claim to enjoy resurrection, in any form?'

I am opposed to the idea because I would not enjoy resurrection.

in cygwin you have the same permissions as the windows user you're logged in as. If you're an administrator, you should have (almost certainly) no problems. edit: a 'mkdir /usr/local/man/man1/' will fix that error of yours, and you will be able to make install without problems. It means that the dir...
