Re: HELP

You need to have a read of the Posting Guidelines . Your thread title is all caps and extremely ambiguous. Gambit's right; you'll get better results if your title is more specific as to what you need help with. I've taken the liberty of editing your title for you to show what you mean. As to your s...

Re: Anybody able to beat two AI opponents?

I don't play campaigns much anymore. And I don't have enough time to play against human opponents on a server. So I resort to playing 1 vs 1 against the computer. I find that 1 vs 1 against the AI is too easy. But I definitely can not win playing vs 2 AI opponents. Has anybody been able to take on ...

Re: A fence as an embellishment

An extremely useful embellishment, attractively implemented. I expect to see this getting a lot of use both in mainline and UMC.

Re: What a wonderful game!

I´m in now and looking forward to the community, surely mosttly made of older players, isn´t it ? We used to have a stickied poll keeping track of this. The Wesnoth community really is made up of players from all age groups; it seems to skew a little older than most video game communities. I've obs...

Re: so, after 1.9, what?

You know, I've always thought that both IPs and version numbers should switch to use a different divider notation, to avoid confusion with decimals. The "⋅" symbol, perhaps, so that Wesnoth 1.9.2 would be rendered as Wesnoth 1⋅9⋅2. You could do the same with IP addresses. Of course, "⋅" has a mathem...

Welcome to the Wesnoth, and welcome to the forums! It's always good to see new faces about. If you have any questions that need answering, there's a whole treasure trove of answers to be dug up using the search function . Or if you can't find what you're looking for that way, please do ask. Re: UtBS ruined castles

Very nice - and immediately useful, too.

Do you have any plans to do alternates? I know that this is particularly tricky for castles due to the way they're cut up, but currently all the towers are ruined in the exact same way.

These archeological expeditions are a lot of fun, shadowmaster. I look forward to the next instalment, whenever you have the time free to do it.

Re: Terrain

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the current task to get the size, line density, etc correct? Then the tile can be used as a base to generate lots of irregular tiles that will look good without creating patterns. It seems to me that there's no real disagreement here, just people focusing on differ...

Re: Wheel of Time (Don't hate me)

While it's not an inherently bad idea, the Wesnoth Project discourages making add-ons based upon copyrighted works. There's a risk that Wesnoth could end up being sued for copyright infringement, and, being an open-source project, there's not a whole lot of money available to pay legal fees. This mo...

Re: Kitty's random stuff: Liberty

The discussion of species, races and interbreeding was getting fairly extensive. So as not to distract from Kitty's excellent art, I've split it off into a new thread in the Writer's Forum. That way we can keep this thread focused on the art itself.

Thanks for pointing that out, Kanapka. As this thread looks like accidental duplication, I'm going to lock it. Discussion can be continued in the Conquest thread as necessary.

Re: Terrain

These are about finished, to my eyes. The ruined keep floor tile probably needs to be "ruined" but I'm not sure how to do that right now. At least it is just one image. Well, marble gets that kind of glossy sheen only when kept very smooth and polished. This is probably a case where a completely di...

Re: Terrain

Well, [acronym=I'm not an artist]INAA[/acronym], but it doesn't seem "ruined" enough to me. Really? Getting started on ruins version (didn't get far with the keeps yet): I've emphasised the key words, but that really shouldn't be needed. Please do not make this kind of post; it provides no useful c...

Re: Main Screen Layout

@Sangel, do you mean increase the size of the buttons or the size between the buttons? Ideally, we'd be able to do both; on very high resolution displays, the buttons become quite small, as do the gaps between them. Being able to alter these would allow us to keep things proportional and easy-to-us...
