I was wondering if there is any way to just download parts that have changed over the previous version (like new graphics, or source files that have changed) instead of doing the huge 35MB download. Not useful for you... but once I did try posting patches for MacOSX which were a lot smaller. Hardly...

Huge thanks to Sith for a seriously quick Mac build. Seems like the fastest turn around ever. Excellent, that man! 8) You can thank Isaac for that... he sent me an email when the source went up and as it was in the morning during the week I had the DMG uploaded by the end of the day. When I notice ...

It will run on 10.2, but 10.3 is the better bet.

I would agree that 10.1 is a nasty operating system. It is still very much unfinished.

10.2 worked properly

10.3 worked beautifully :D

There are loads of warnings in Wesnoth, so it is best to ignore those and concentrate on the errors. Typically these are linking errors when the source code has been split and new files added. As mentioned above a simple drag and drop normally solves this.

The .dmg is now up and on the mirrors, or at least the ones I've checked. I've downloaded it and everything now checks out :)

OK, the upload must have failed... I wasn't tracking it carefully and didn't have time to complete a test download. I'll re-upload and verify tomorrow.

If it isn't launching it is the permissions, do a Get Info and make sure that Other has Read & Write access and Apply To Enclosed as well.

This does indeed look a little bleak. I'll try it out on a couple of other machines if I can to try to pinpoint the problem.

Unsurprisingly... for me they do:

MacOSX 10.3.5 on a Dual G5 (they also worked on a G3B&W)

MacOSX - Do The Quit / Hide / Minimise Shortcuts Work?

I am trying to track down a bug. Some users have found that the keyboard shortcuts for Quit / Hide / Minimise don't work when in windowed mode.

Do they work for you ?

If you answer the poll, please also leave a Yes / No message with your configuration,

Thanks

I believe core Wesnoth should be the single player campaigns. Races have variety which can be explored in carefully crafted terrains. Trying to overbalance for random maps dulls some of the flavour.

I would agree... keep new units to core wesnoth few and far between.

Have as many as you want within campaigns / etc

Version 1.0 doesn't need many scenarios bundled... especially with the Campaign Server. As long as the main package is complete, people can always add new partial campaigns via that. Branching seems sensible to me, with the caveat of too long a delay moving people to the development branch... which ...

I've never owned a mac but I'm kinda curious, judging from the previous post, wesnoth seems burdensome to compile on a mac. I though a mac OSX was a unix variant, meaning you can install the GNU tools like Makefile and GCC (if mac don't already provide you with it), and install wesnoth and its depe...

I'm not a great multiplayer player... so could someone explain... Is this about having one server for multiplayer which all versions join, but you only see a list of those with the same version? If so that makes sense to me... if that is how it is already then I can't really see a need to change it....
