I thought gettext didn't work on 10.2 unless you had it installed. However, if you build it for yourself then maybe it would work. There are a lot of fudges to get the 10.2 support fully functional as that system is still migrating towards standards, 10.3 and 10.4 support more of the standards Wesn...

Just as soon as Sithrandel or some other good soul can do it. Like most mac users he is probably in a state of shock regarding the Apple-Intel announcement  Too right... installing XCode 2.1 at the moment... After all, we need to make sure the Universal Binary of Wesnoth works on Intel too :D

Yeah. Finally figured out that since it mounts as a disc for some reason, that I had to copy it to a new folder, where I could run the patch. Ugh. Disk images are the Apple approved method of delivering applications. They are ompressed, have built-in checksumming and ensure that the files come acro...

I'm going to be boring here, re-inserting my mantra. :D Drakes, as I recall, were created for a Drake campaign... do correct me if I'm wrong. So what they should do is be perfect for that campaign. I am concerned that there is too much desire to make all units fit multiplayer, so that they end up lo...

I would be against adding Python Scripting. From the Human Engineering point of view the game should be designed for players, not programmers. Wherever possible we should produce something which can run out-of-the-binary without requiring users to clutter up their systems unnecessarily. Python is in...

Re: Question
Sithrandel's Campaign Editor was only released for the Mac, but was abandoned because human engineering difficulties (maybe? I'm too tired to dig up the exact reason). Not quite :) The human engineering wasn't the critical issue, though it was more complex than expected. It was abandoned because no...

There is now a new version for MacOSX users. This incorporates the patch to allow 10.2.8 users to run the game. The full version can be found at: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesnoth/Wesnoth_MacOSX_0.9.1a.dmg?download There is also a patch, if you already have 0.9.1 on your system: http://prdo...

Re: 0.9.1 won't open on Mac OS 10.2.8
Curious...I got the message from the multiplayer server that I needed the update, which I promply downloaded...and can't seem to get to run. The icon starts bouncing in the dock when I double click, then a few seconds later just dissapears. Any suggestions? This is an issue with some of the standar...

Re: 0.9.1 crash log
Please try this patch:
http://www.fairydreams.co.uk/wesnoth/Bf ... _Patch.dmg
and let me know if it improves matters or not. I am no longer running 10.2.8 so can't test on it directly.

Re: New Windows Versions?
I'm in a bit of a hurry, therefore haven't taken the time to look for this information on my own. I instantly fell in love with this game, I'd like to know how often a new Windows version is released. Not an exact date (lest one exists), but rather a rough estimate based on past experience. Thank y...
