There's a compile error, so I couldn't see how the healing/illuminates icons look in-game, but I look forward to seeing a PR of this!
Thank you, I fixed this in my fork. That is how it currently looks like:

Re: Indicating hexes that heal / illuminate / etc?

How does that display the icons for tiles that do multiple things? Given all three use the same loc, xpos, ypos , they'd be drawn on top of each other, right? If you have a closer look, you will see that the icons are located in different positions of the overlay. The hidden icon is at 12 o’ clock,...

Re: Indicating hexes that heal / illuminate / etc?

I tried to implement this. (Untested and not compiled yet).

What do you think?

Re: (2p/3p) Minimalistic Multiplayer Scenario: Honeycomb (Request for Feedback)

Hi folks!

I remade the Honeycomb add-on. All units are now more balanced, have more HP, are less glass-cannon-like and a new healer unit, the Firefly, joins the Honeycomb. I hope, you enjoy it and I am looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Re: Oddities with the cost of Gryphon (and other mainline monster units)

Units are not balanced against other units, but factions against factions. These monster units are not in a faction (UMC factions can define the cost separately), so their cost is only relevant for campaign balance, and should be considered with that in mind. I already know that. But, take scenario...

Oddities with the cost of Gryphon (and other mainline monster units)

The Gryphon and the Gryphon Master started as completely different units. In 1.0, the Gryphon had 44 HP, costed 40 gold, had 9 MP and a 10-3 melee attack The Gryphon Master, however, had 46 HP, costed 50 gold, had 10 MP and a 14-2 melee attack The price difference made sense, because the Master had ...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Changes In Unit Lines & Base Units

Are there already tests with Hornshark Island? As there is no roster for the Dunefolk, they start with the following units: loyal resilient dim Young Ogre strong resilient quick Giant Rat loyal intelligent Troll Whelp quick resilient Mudcrawler loyal fearless slow Fire Guardian (fearless is unnecess...

Re: Battle For Wesnoth on Windows98 :)

Wow! I never expected, that such Boost 1.45.1 (which is from 2010!) would run on Windows 98. Maybe on MinGW, but this is clearly Visual C++!

By the way: Where did you get that fancy Windows-7-like theme with these icons, taskbar and titlebars?

Re: [POLL] What Operating Systems do you use Wesnoth on?

Gentoo, but my first contact with Wesnoth was on an OpenSUSE Live CD. I also played it on Windows Vista, but now Gentoo is my main OS and I use a Windows 7 32 Bit VM (Qemu/KVM) only for certain applications, like my tax declaration software and some legacy games.

Re: Saurian genders

What about making the Saurians a parthenogenetic species? There are many examples of female-only lizards in real life. We often think, that genders are a binary thing. But we have learned that sexuality is more complex than that. We learned, that species with zero, one or two genders exist, that som...

Re: Dunefolk Rework - Unit Naming & Descriptions

Regarding the Burner: I don't know what a naffat should be, but it seems to be an Arab term for oil. I am not happy, because that awakes associations with terrorism. Therefore I tried to find better names. Dune Sapper -> Dune Pioneer -> Dune Demolitionist Combat engineers are soldiers which perform ...

Re: Save the green trolls

Is it really a good thing to change the Burin's sentence about the troll in the starting dialogue of the scenario 17c of The Rise of Wesnoth campaign? The old sencence "I indeed do. They are green and mean, and will try to crush you like a bug. They heal very quickly." is the last remaining testimo...

Re: Add-on's size

Have you tried to compress the music? The Opus codec (which supersedes Vorbis and Speex) should lead to smaller file sizes than the lossless FLAC codec.

Re: Time paradox glitch

I guess the AI has no gold to recruit units and refuses to move their leader, because the other leader would likely kill their leader. So they are stalling until the turn limit is reached.
