Re: Correction in human race description, pls.

they must be the same as whites in all aspects or it would be racism Good thing we're just changing portraits for a few existing characters then! Accusations of racism would be risked if these blacks were any different from whites except skin colour Wesnoth already has this problem. Every once in a...

Re: Correction in human race description, pls.

Unfortunately, I haven't been keeping up with the news around here and it turns out the portrait overhaul is nearly complete. The only campaigns left are Under the Burning Suns, Northern Rebirth, and Son of the Black Eye. Fortunately, UtBS and NR are pretty much the perfect places to slip in a few n...

People of color in Wesnoth

Moderator note : This thread was (awkwardly) split from this one . Awkward because many of us had been discussing two tangentially related topics in each of our posts. Well there are persons that are almost white (like some nordics), but also others that are almost black (for example certain africa...

Re: Reasons for locking up a thread

If you put in the rules of forum that there should be no discussions on WTC, then its ok i will be fine with it They are "Posting Guidelines " for a reason. Action is left to the discretion of the moderation team. We're not going to spell everything out in a 500 page book just to have people play a...

Oh look. Hilarious passive aggressive post made solely to snub the mod team and prove some silly point.

You can use them, it's just that we can't accept them on the add-on server right now.

Re: BfW: 12th best free PC game according to PC Gamer UK

Nice! We don't get reviewed often these days that I know of because most of these publications and websites have "already done that game". They're used to sequels and named expansions over steady evolution. :( Clearly we need to start releasing Wesnoth 2: Now It's Personal, Wesnoth: Mists of Elfaria...

Content not licensed in a way that is compatible with GPLv2 will be removed from the add-on server, and action will taken against the person who uploads it. This can include a ban from uploading any other add-ons. This forum is also not the place to discuss legal/policy changes, and you lot are not...

Re: Download count being an implicit ranking system

As a UMC author, I find the atmosphere of wesnoth UMC development is pretty nice and similar to other hobbyist "clubs" of sorts.
This is exactly how I feel as well. I guess I'm just more afraid of this idea jeopardizing that atmosphere than everyone else so far.

Re: Download count being an implicit ranking system

If there has to be some sort of ranking to compete over, I think the top X% of add-ons should be randomly fudged every time you look at the list. That way you can't tell exactly what the "top" add-on is. You can still tell that the top Y add-ons must be really good, and the bottom-most add-ons must ...
