Re: Resurection of Wesnoth Campaign

Lvl 4 Czar no longer with toggleable berserk, and could somebody tell me how much weaker the warrior lady/elite unit on there should be? Also, you know how a necromancer is captured in this campaign? I will use an alternative unit to the dark adept line for human necromancers that deals a lot less d...

Re: Resurection of Wesnoth Campaign

I like the concept of your campaign a lot, but I have a few problems with the first scenario. First of all, I think the girl is a bit overpowered, I pretty much played with just her. Second, I would add more villages, especially for the undead, cuz they just sit there and die after you take the ini...

Resurection of Wesnoth Campaign

I am creating a campaign taking place after the fall of the forces of Chaos. (refer to Invasion from the Unknown) My campaign centers on the main character, Ranvan, who stumbles upon the ruins of Weldyn (Let's say that the fall didn't entirely destroy it) and sees it guarded by undead. We open with ...

Re: 'When Came out the Shadows' uploaded

Through the few scenarios i've gotten through, I notice you put rather tight turn limits on there. I usually get recommendations that the turn limit should be used to control the size of the gold limit, generally not to put extreme pressure to work quickly, which any well seasoned player knows to do...

Re: Beginning of reign of Konrad II: 'When Came out the Shadows'

I downloaded your campaign from the server, since you appear to have posted it there.

IT DOES NOT WORK. Same as when I tried before, it did not recognize the first scenario. I lack the WML expertise to know what the problem is there, I could not find the root cause.

What no one should EVER do!

I like to experiment with WML, and I managed to create something that will seriously screw things up: #define LOOP [gold] amount=1 side=1 [/gold] {LOOP} #enddef [event] name=turn 2 {LOOP} [/event] No one except myself is dumb enough to try this, but anyone that got this idea should know the conseque...

Re: My campaign : 'When Came out the Shadows'

I downloaded your campaign and attempted to test although I wouldn't understand the storyline, the objectives, or anything. (I'd be going by my intuition and when things really got bad, online language tools.) The result is this, when I tried your campaign the game said "unknown scenario". I then at...

Re: My campaign : 'When Came out the Shadows'

I am under the natural assumption that you may try to come up with unique units, particularly for enemies as the campaign title said something about shadows. (The title didn't translate that well to English.) Mainly, I am saying that you ought to experiment with abilities and weapon special WML, Her...

Re: two campaign ideas: 'Only one sun' and 'A new world'

Do you intend to make a third campaign explaining how the day night cycle returns to normal? For one thing, the way it was before there was what i calculate to be a 16 hour long dark which gave rise to Yechnagoth. Now that you bring the second sun down, there will be dark for at least two thirds of ...

Re: My campaign : 'When Came out the Shadows'

For unit images (this is starting to sound like the art forum) I modify existing images with GIMP photoshop. I don't know if it is available to you, but it is free and should run on any operating system you are likely to have, whether it is Windows, Apple, or what I use, Linux. Here is what I was ab...

Re: Random Map Generator?

This generator can be altered to different terrain to fit your purpose, like in Heir to the Throne on the map in which you look for the scepter of fire. You may also note that multiplayer has a setting for random winter, desert, and swamp maps.

Re: The Fall of Wesnoth (yet to start)

Perhaps you don't have to make it totally ignore Under the Burning Suns, meaning the current Wesnothian empire falls, but another empire creates the second sun and thus the fall. While this still is contradictory, who knows? History can be misrecorded and it is plausible.

Re: Count Kromire

I don't know if you fixed this, but when i played, the team colors on the difficulty selection menu were left at magenta. This is a very small flaw, sure, but it speaks to poor programming and for me is a bit of a turn-off, though i intend to judge campaigns by storyline and how fun they were. Maybe...
