Re: Oh wow I was banned.
We don't. We only ensure that you follow the rules clearly stated in the code of conduct, highlighted when you log on into the lobby. On the developers' servers.

Re: The server is logging people out at random.
The problem for me is that it happens after just a few minutes of logging on, e.g.: Log on --> View unread posts --> Open thread(s) in new tabs --> Logged out. Yes, automatic login is on, nothing with other websites and all that. Only with Wesnoth.org. The problem is that when my really less than st...

Re: 2vs2 etiquette - what to do if your partner is a moron?
If I play with an undetermined partner, it means that I'm prepared to play with a moron, i.e. I'd just suck it up. I'll give him advice, or ask if he needs any, and I'd respect his decision to not follow it. I'd expect my partner to give the same respect if I don't want to follow his advice. People ...

Re: What's your Inital Recruitment?
Criteria for recruitment, in general order of importance when I do play: 1) Unit cost - More units, the better 2) Overall recruit effectiveness - Are you leveraging your faction's strengths/a particular theme (e.g. HODOR)? 3) Unit diversity (more in random matchup, less significant in non-random) - ...

Re: Am I the only one getting radomly logged out?
I have the same problem as OP, since about at least half a year ago. Usually it's after a few hours, sometimes after even half an hour.

Re: Question about Wesnoth
The binaries themselves are small (< 20 MB for an Intel Mac only binary IIRC during 1.5, certainly < 10 MB during 1.2). The data is huge in Wesnoth. If you're on a Mac, you might want to ask penguin to create a raw update (no data, just binary + translations), but as scienceguy8 mentioned, the steam...

Re: Human Mage
Mages are always "important" - The at least 9-3 at day with 70% cth is nothing to sneer at, Undead or otherwise. It's not just to weaken the frontline - If possible/efficient, it's to eliminate it, so that the juicy insides are vulnerable to your other units (and to give cover). Also, if y...

Re: Guide for designing MP maps.
Uh-huh...The Drake's only weakness is arcane? I suggest that you play some serious MP games (e.g. ladder/proper 2v2 maps) for a few months. I'm sure that you'll change your mind. You have a poor understanding of how balance works in Wesnoth (though admittedly I've never mastered map balance).

Re: Hurt and Heal: Leaders
Who cares? For the most part, Drake leaders are very powerful, coming from a race of powerful (albeit vulnerable) individuals. They'd win regardless of graphics.

I don't know, I don't like cure + arcane versus heal + slow as leaders, although I generally would not prefer both of them. * Dark Sorcerer 7 * Deathblade 8 * Drake Flare 11 (+1) * Drake Gladiator 7 * Drake Slasher 7 * Drake Warrior 11 * Dwarvish Stalwart 7 * Dwarvish Steelclad 9 * Dwarvish Thunderg...
