Re: LordBob's random stuff : Nagas

I like the artwork. I am not sure how Naga "should" look in Wesnoth. Perhaps they tend to be a bit bulkier than on the portrait? Scales and stilts a bit less profound? But I have to admit that I really don't know - my only impression is from sea-units within the game itself. This could always become...

Re: Ghouls

Oh - the first portrait was perhaps a bit too human-like, a chubby big guy. I understand that they should retain the human-esque part, so they should be identifiable as "humanoids", whatever that means, but they should also be undead, so I liked the progression. It should be a balance between human ...

Re: Ghouls

These are some serious skills you got there! I like the pictures and the progression a lot. That's really great. HOWEVER had, I believe that one problem is that it does not seem 1:1 inspired into (or for) the game wesnoth as such. For example, the big jaw - I guess you wanted to be creative there. :...

Re: [HotSeat] KDEConnect integration

Does this work yet, and if so, how can it be used? I compile KDE from source via a set of ruby scripts. Latest KDE connect I can see is this tarball: https://download.kde.org/stable/release-service/20.04.2/src/kdeconnect-kde-20.04.2.tar.xz Compiled fine here, but what is the next step then? Edit: Yo...

Re: Enlarged Story Line Text?

20 years into it (sort of) I also have eyesight-related issues. So any in-game magnification is useful. Actually I think the biggest improvement would be if we could increase the font size of the text messages. Edit: actually, would it be possible to integrate this into wesnoth eventually? To simpli...

Re: Addons & Dunefolk, a conspiracy?

> You just wrecked a perfectly good conspiracy theory. ;) Well - I think while the above explanation is probably 95% correct, another reason may simply be that people are not that much interested in it, compared to other things e. g. elves. There is one add-on that is nice with modified dunefolks or...

Re: First Multiplayer Map

Hmm. I would make it a bit larger; and perhaps make the terrain a bit more unique e. g. the right one more forest, left one more hills and vice versa. Could allow for slight tactical adjustments. Also perhaps extend the river a bit or make the lake a bit larger (may be simpler for a slightly larger ...

[Loose Idea] Online campaign creator/maker for wesnoth?

So ... I recently thought a bit how to attract people to wesnoth AND add more campaigns. - How about an online-campaign creator? With that I mean that people could just begin to create a campaign in their browser. Now, there are some problems here, but let's ignore them for a moment. People could pl...

Re: A campaign that no longer exists?

I think some were abandoned. Campaigns is quite a lot of work - the initial creation part is probably more fun. I don't have a great solution for getting more people to maintain campaigns; perhaps if contributing to campaigns could be simplified. E. g. if people could invest only a bit of their time...

Re: Doreldos: Fight to Liberty:SP Campaign Feedback & Reviews

Dunno if the bug was fixed yet, but in "The Rescue", when shipping the princess to the island on the left, nothing happens when any unit touches the two-crossed-sword hexagon on the map. If it is a new bug or not fixed yet, I would like to recommend two things: (1) make the rescue condition more exp...

Re: Under the Burning Suns - who should get the speed ring?

I try to give it to taurochs since they are my main tanks. But I think giving it to
a hero is better because they are more important than regular units.

Re: When are Javelineers useful?

I think they are ok. They are not as good as the other advancements I think, but from what I remember playing with them, they are quick to level up and fairly cheap then. I view them as a bit cheap and expendable level 2 units. Don't even care much when they die. Elvish Rangers is my favourite unit ...

Re: A different way to look at the Intelligent trait (SP)

I don't like the intelligence trait. While there may some benefits, I just don't like it. My favourite trait is quickness by far. While it may not be as powerful, I just love having quick units in general. It's also often a reason I try to get flying units. Leadership can be very useful for cheap ex...

Re: Hi one, Favourite and Least Favourite Unit?

From the classical units it is the elven ranger. I just prefer it over elvish fighter and elvish marksman. From the add-on units I think it is some flying unit that can heal. Flying is so overpowered in general. Wraith/spectre are quite good too. I also like healing units. Trolls are cool too due to...

Re: Thoughts on additional mainline MP Campaigns?

Have the adventures of Grog been added yet? That big troll dude. I remember that this was one of those that I liked. And it was not that big so could probably be added; or "unlocked", after the mainline has been played through. :D Perhaps maintenance burden may be an issue why not more mainline camp...
