Re: Wesnoth Fauna

Ok, if you want to drop one, it should have been the tusklet and not the tusker. I use the tusker line, all 3 of them. I copied mine from the founding of borstep addon. The decision to exclude the middle one and change the gorer level created interesting problems for me when I compiled 1.15.6 yester...

Re: Wesnoth Fauna

Hi,

What was the reason for not including the Tusker?

Re: WF - Wild Frontiers [SP Campaign]

How come they spawn for me while they don't for you. So unfair :( That's randomness in action I guess. hmm, let's see, for the summer the relevant lines : https://github.com/virtualghetto/Wild_Frontiers/blob/master/utils/enemies.cfg#L4007 {VARIABLE quota.orc_enemy_choice "orc,skip"} 1/2 chance for a...

Re: How do you unselect a unit?

Unfortunately, it did not work.

I'm attaching a small demo of the problem. Right click on the far left mage to get it going.
I commented out the wesnoth.delay line (line 16). Try adding it back in to see how any mouse movement during the short delay will ungrey the screen.

Thanks.

Re: WF - Wild Frontiers [SP Campaign]

I ended up getting ridiculously lucky. No orcs, no necromancers, nothing. Just a bunch of wild animals and bandits. I can't tell whether this is viable or not because none of the real enemies spawned. :hmm: (This is Version 1.16.0, Wesnoth 1.14.14.) :shock: I've been doing all of the changes/testin...

Re: How do you unselect a unit?

Thanks, but it didn't help. It removed the blue highlight hex from the unit, the screen remained greyed out. The speaking unit is not the problem, it is the initial unit that has the set_menu_item which is causing the problem. The key for the proposed fix is the delay, the deselect_hex by itself did...

Re: How do you unselect a unit?

This doesn't work all the time but it's better than before.

Code: Select all

[deselect][/deselect]

Code: Select all

function wesnoth.wml_actions.deselect()
  wesnoth.delay(600)
  wesnoth.select_unit()
  wesnoth.deselect_hex()
end

Not sure about that [status] general=yes thing and if it carries over on advancement.

How do you unselect a unit?

Hi, I have unit that doesn't have any moves, so selecting it will "grey" out the screen. The unit is assigned a [set_menu_item] that will display a [message] relating to other units. The menu will loop over other units (not the initial 0 moves unit) and popup a question for each one, but since the i...

Re: Crash on filtered dismiss

Wesnoth seems to handle well when filtering on recruiting. If you open the recruit dialog and then search for a non-existing thing and press recruit, it will just say "No unit recruited." in a translucent dialog. Perhaps make the dismiss and rename do the same instead of worrying about disabling or ...

Re: WF - Wild Frontiers [SP Campaign]

Maybe expand the caravan system? Like, farms provide mostly upkeep, even during summer, and if you want to get any cash income at all then you have to escort the caravans off the edge of the map. What do you guys think of Argothair's suggestion? Let's say for the Hard difficulty, would it do for yo...

Re: Unit unable to flag a village

I might be wrong about this, but I think a side can flag villages if they have a unit with canrecruit=yes. Make sure Vinkus can recruit.

Re: spammed with error messages

Hi mattsc,
yes, this doesn't seem to be related to WF or Micro AI.
I managed to reproduce it in the attached demo consistently. Start and click on End Turn, the error happens when side 3 unit advances after they get attacked.

Please feel free to open a ticket on github about it.

Thank you.

Re: spammed with error messages

Ok, I'm getting somewhere... about error general: Invalid range: -999 this error seems to be related to fire_event or the macro CALL_FUNCTION. I'm attaching _main.cfg that reproduces the error. Right click on the red mage and select fire event... then select CALL_FUNCTION. Look and your console and ...

Re: spammed with error messages

yes, i'm on linux and I'm getting that error message in the command line console. They are so many that my console cannot scroll up further up to see the other error messages. I'll see about redirecting stdout and stderr to a file to get around it. Anyone has any hints on what could be triggering th...
