type=Sovereign
You probably meant type=Orchish Sovereign.
Actually type=Orcish Sovereign.

Re: Legend of the Invincibles

Removing 'Legend of the Invincibles (beta)' using the add-on manager leads to 'beta.pbl' being left over. edwardspec, can you please have a look at this? I am still totally clueless about the CI stuff. This is a problem with Wesnoth's uninstaller (nothing on addon's side is causing this). That migh...

Re: Can I use ✔️ in [objectives]?

I did some investigations, and this actually sounds like a bug. It looks like the expected behavior should be to use the glyphs available in the Lato Regular font first, and if the required glyph isn't available fall back on the DejaVu Sans font. For some reason, this works correctly on Linux, but ...

Re: Using tiles from an add-on

It looks like the UMC Terrain Pack is available only for Wesnoth 1.12 - but you're trying to use it with Wesnoth 1.14? That's probably not going to work. (Add-ons for one version of Wesnoth are not necessarily compatible with other versions of Wesnoth.)

2 good portraits.
In the final scenario of this campaign, I think the orc leader should have a custom portrait. The current (generic) portrait isn't really consistent with the dialogue/storyline (and there isn't any generic portrait that would be).

Re: Need linux/apache help seting up a website.

To be honest, I would recommend running Debian in VirtualBox for something like this. WSL is a strange hybrid abomination combining two different operating systems and it can be difficult to use and troubleshoot. If you need to run a web application on a Windows system for testing/development purpos...

Those are on the addon server for Wesnoth 1.12.
Does that mean they can't be used with 1.15.x ?
Well... you could try, but it's likely that there will be issues if you attempt to run them in Wesnoth 1.15 (or 1.14). The most reliable way to play them would be to use Wesnoth 1.12.

Not on the official addon server, apparently. Where can we get it?
Those are on the addon server for Wesnoth 1.12.

Re: How to enjoy hard campaigns when they go wrong

So what do I do when the Marksman whiffs and hits his target 0 out of 4 times, leaving everyone around him exposed to counter-attacks? Or what do I do when two orcish crossbowmen and a level 1 Wolf get lucky against my Knight and shoot him to death from full HP in broad daylight? Or what happens if...

Re: Scaling unit image issues

I would guess that the portrait was automatically generated from the unit image using this command: wesnoth --render-image 'units/anakes/alastor.png~XBRZ(3)' alastor.png However, I tried it and the output image doesn't look exactly the same as the portrait above - maybe it was generated using an old...

Re: Who did the artwork for the old wesnoth characters?

Tweaking the text would not be that hard, and I think was actually planned at one time. But, what are some examples of lines that don't sound right for people in their early twenties? I don't know if there are any specific lines that don't sound right, but it seems to me that the story makes more s...

Re: Are the full resolution images still available somewhere?

So I'd like to ask whether anyone knows whether the originals still exist somewhere and if they do, where one may find them. And on a broader note, does anyone know of efforts to prevent good artwork to be forgotten or lost? There's a Git repository for that sort of thing. It looks like 400x400 ver...

Re: After the Storm 0.9.17 [Wesnoth 1.12]

is it possible to still install1.12? Yes, you can download the last Wesnoth 1.12 release here . If you're running Windows it should be simple to install (just run the installer as usual - it should be possible to install it while at the same time having 1.14 installed). It might be more complicated...

Re: my Custom units and image problems

Your image file is named my_first_art.png.png (note the .png appears twice). If you're using Windows, I would recommend looking for the "Hide extensions for known file types" setting and unchecking the checkbox; it makes troubleshooting things like this much easier (I have no idea why hiding file ex...
