Ah, now I'd say he's good to go.
Which leaves you with but a very few portraits to complete before the series is done, I believe ?

Yes. If by a few, you mean none
It's very good to finally be done with them, I have to say. Just need Kitty's OK, then he's up.

Mmh...Shouldn't we have an armageddon drake as well ? I'll gladly give it a shot myself if you'd rather switch to something else

Meh, I'm happy with the current Inferno Drake covering all 3 - but feel free to take a stab at it. Happy to provide anatomy input.

Yep. You addressed LB's concerns - he's done. For future reference: You don't need my and LB's ok, one of us should do

Cool cool. Can never be too careful though
Committed. That's the Drakes sent packing, for now. I'm sure I'll see more of them later, especially north frames...

I have an armageddon drake started, but had to stop due to time constraints. Also just not sure if TSI liked where it was heading.LordBob wrote:Mmh...Shouldn't we have an armageddon drake as well ? I'll gladly give it a shot myself if you'd rather switch to something else
Win if you can. Lose if you must. But always cheat.

Re: TSI gets back into it: Drake Enforcer & Warden
My bad, I had forgotten about that inferno and it does fit the armaeddon as well.
Anyway, what with me liking drakes so much and all, I've done a coupe of sketches just for fun. Here's an anatomy study, for now. Scales are deliberately left aside to allow for a better study of muscles and volumes.
Note the breach to our drake's standard wings/arms position : I was finally able to come up with a functional bone structure which as a bonus makes them bulkier. Me like
Armour design is underway.

Re: TSI gets back into it: Drake Enforcer & Warden
Looks good. I'll pop a quick PO of head anatomy up in a second - the rest is... OK, but the new wing anatomy makes his actual arms look spindly as hell. Double their size, and you're probably about there.
Points from PO:
- Specific changes:
--- The arms: bulk them out a lot more. The one closer to camera also feels really kind of short.
--- The head: needs to sit further forward on the neck to leave space for all the anatomical features.
--- The legs: the thighs probably need to come forward a tad more, as the stance is heavily digitigrade.
- General anatomy:
--- 3 fingers and a thumb on the hands. 4 'fingers' in the wings (though this has occasionally varied slightly), no spike or thumb on the wing 'wrist'.
--- Head:
----- Forehead has 2 bony plates, overlapping each other (ignore the fact that I drew 3 there, I'm dumb)
----- Horns start far back on the head. Their layout and design is variable, long twisty ones like these are fine. But I'd say they need to be thicker.
----- Small horns protrude from the end of the cheekbone, and from the point of the jawbone.
----- Teeth:alternating top-and-bottom, overlapping the jaw alligator-style. There are around 19 teeth in the average Drake mouth, but I never settled on an exact number, save for the fact that across the front of the mouth, there are 5 teeth, with the outer ones being on the bottom jaw, so they alternate thusly: ^V^V^. The jaw should have the curve shown here, again inspired by an alligator.
----- Scales: pangolin-style, cos I like them. A big set of ridges runs right down the spine all the way to the tip of the tail, kinda like a crocodile or alligator, and starts right at the top, on the back of the head. The tail and front of the body have wide, flat scales with scalloped edges as seen on the Burner portrait.
----- Fire: is vomited rather than sneezed, IYSWIM.
