Yes, I'd say the rule is you get to choose advancement during opponent's turn if all human players in the game are using one computer.Soliton wrote:In a local game you own all sides. It's the same in an online game where you're the only player.

I was not trying to imply that this was a preference rather than a principle.Yogibear wrote:This is actually not a preference of some kind but a principle of the games code architecture.JW wrote:No required player input on turns that are not their own.

Oops, sorry if it came across like that, it was totally unintentional.JW wrote:I was not trying to imply that this was a preference rather than a principle.

I am thinking by months a possible method to use in MP that doesn't imply a too much changes in source code structure. But not one of ideas seems possible (I read all old topics) except probably once I am thinking in this moment but I feel it is a bad solution.

I could make an era that makes units only level up during their turn.
I'm just... a guy...
I'm back for now, I might get started on some work again.

Sorry for repeating myself, but I have (with extensive help from melinath) already created the PresetAdvencement Era. This era allows you to on your turn select what specific units should advance to regardless of when they advance (be it your turn, opponents turn, you own all sides or there are other human controllers).
The only feedback I´ve gotten so far is that it looks ugly, why don´t you go and try it out and give some more feedback
