(1) medium, 1.1.7.
(2) trivial (1)
(3) not very clear
(4) good and novel idea
(5) none; the orcs just ran after my General and didn't dare to attack him (even though he had holy attacks), as long as I stayed on the grassland I was OK, in the end I stacked the general with the other units but still won without a single fight
(6) disappointing (1)
(7) I suppose this scenario did not work as intended, but I also had no idea how it should have worked on the first place (probably something lost on the translation again - mental note).

(1) Medium 1.8.0
(2) 10 (to get the ogres)
(3) Very clear
(4) It's odd.
(5) Either one of my characters dies, or I kill 3 ogres. Reloading saved games was the only way to get past the scenario with the ogres.
(6) 2
(7) I would change it totally. Maybe you could fight an ogre leader, and if you defeat a certain number of troops he surrenders and joins your army.

(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on?
Challenging; 1.8.3.

(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
7

(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
When the basic mechanics of the game change, a scenario is rarely clear.

(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
Silly.

(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
The major challenges were understanding that trolls teleport when leaving the middle area and then understanding that you need some of them to teleport in order to survive.

(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
4

(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
Why not make the challenge to lure the trolls into a trap, i.e., a specific hex? Then they really can "teleport," i.e., fall into a hole.

Content Feedback wrote:(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on?
Normal; 1.8.5
(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
8
(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
see below (4)
(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
Not much dialogue here, but actually it could be improved: the opening dialogue seems to suggest that the ogres want to escape, but actually they do attack the closest enemy units: they do not run away.
(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
Keeping ogre on the grass was relatively easy, but keeping a good formation to let my units survive was the most challenging thing

(1) hard, 1.80 (played it once years ago)
(2) 11 to catch two ogres. Its not difficult, it's pure dice-rolling. explanation: a) All of my units are still lv 2 by now (due to short time limits and in fact the decision to rather have more leveled cavalry, which fits nicely until now). b) 3 of 5 ogres are fast which leaves no chance to manouvre them out. c) Most important: the ogres don't follow the rules. While they disappear on grass-tiles (13,18) they remain if they step on wood or hills.
(3) Clear - if only the ogres did so
(4) clear enough, but nothing like a story line: why does Gweddry want to tame Ogres? Why is it necessary to keep two of them on grassland?
(5) Being immediately killed in the center while never knowing where the Ogres disappear if i left it.
(6) 1
(7) keep the disappearing to the conditions given and no quick Ogres. Also someone may take a look at the AI settings, seems the Ogres are grouping an strangely fixated on Gweddry: several times they could have attacked other units but rather followed Gweddry even when they couldn't reach him.

meh...

(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
everything

(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)

(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
Rework the scenario, I like Maiklas' suggestion about the pits.

(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on?

1.8.5 ==> medium

(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)

Let's say 5/10

(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?

OK, as soon as you find out that the ogres aren't trying to escape unless you drive them to the mountains :)

(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?

OK

(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?

I had to find the right strategy not to get my friends alive AND not killing too many ogres :?

(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)

It's allright, 7/10 as long as it's a very short one

(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?

Not sure about it ... depends on the ogres psychology, I guess ! :lol2:

(1) What difficulty level and version of Wesnoth have you played the scenario on?
1.9.14, hard
58 starting gold

(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
Due to Owaec close to level up, it was possible to quite easily do it. Otherwise it might be very depending on luck. Also Dacyn is a weak point, as you need him to kill ogres with his range attack and also to encircle them. But that puts the ogres in position to go for him with their melee attack.
I appreciate it was made to give some variety to the usual scenarios, but I think it slightly overshooted the mark.
(If you don't seem to be able to get an ogre, you still have the possibility to try to let all the ogres escape, what is a bit like skipping the scenario with ignoring the possible benefit - but even that is not too easy as the ogres like to attack.)

(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
Clear, but you can't foresee the ogres' behaviour.

(4) How clear and interesting did you find the dialog and storyline of the scenario?
Clear.

(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
Keeping somebody alive that is attacking you.

(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
I don't like it, but I appreciate the attempt to bring in something totally new.

(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
None.

Nice little puzzle to catch your breath. I am at a loss how others commenting in this thread played the scenario, did it change that much. Recruit, recall cav, get ogres. I got one in the center, three outside. Two survived until the end of the campaign - although they never got any dialogue.
I am a Saurian Skirmisher: I'm a real pest, especially at night.

(1) Level and version? Hard, 1.12.4
(2) Difficult? (1-10) varies, depending on how many you want to catch.
(3) Objectives? Clear.
(4) Dialog? Fine.
(5) Challenges? -
(6) Fun? (1-10) 9
(7) Changes? Make it so they don't attack you?
(8) Restarts? One. I captured 2 the first time and tried for a better result - I got four the next time. I recruited a keep full of cavalry and ran them along the edges of the map.

(1) What difficulty levels have you played the scenario on?
1.15.7, Normal (Normal - Swordsman)
218 gold

(2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10)
2

(3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives?
Clear.

(5) What were your major challenges in meeting the objectives of the scenario?
There was not a major challenge, but I studied to find the best was to capture most of them with the less effort/cost as possible.

(6) How fun do you think the scenario is? (1-10)
7 It's nice scenario.

(7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun?
Nothing, but give to the player a good reason to do it.

(8) Was there any event that caused you to lose the game and forced you to reload or restart the scenario?
My first attempt i captured them all but i wasted all my money into it, so i studied on how they react to my moves until i got this replay. Because do they really worth the effort?

(9) About the replay.
Recalled the paladin and recruited just two cavalryman and started to capture them around. wasting the least most possible amount of gold.
