Tom hasn't made a post about this in days and, iirc, all his other threads on his "faction" ideas were locked. I'm surprised this thread is still open, but it is another forum.ubertuna-1 wrote:wow... it seems as if tom is acctually taking this... seriously. If you are really going to be serious about this era and nobody is gonna kill me for it I will still help with the stat balancing MAYBE.
No need to attempt to improve a probable-joke-that-wasn't-funny faction, the whole concept is completely unoriginal. You'd be better off making your own faction. Guards? Why can't Loyalists serve the purpose of generic-human-guards as they do in starring roles in campaigns such as South Guard and Eastern Invasion?

o_O you're trying to build an era and do artwork to put in it, and you don't know where the orcish grunt images are?
Seriously?
Seriously?

Where did you find the images which you used to make your previous Frankensteined unit?
The unit sprites, starting from your Wesnoth 1.3.x root folder are stored (assuming you're using windows and 1.3.x, this will be different for 1.2.6) in data> core> images >units. if you're going to edit any of them, BE SURE to back them up before you do. It's easy enough to get replacements from the SVN, but it's best not to have to.

The i cannot help you. I do not know the file structures used by Mac and Linux versions.
I would suggest, though, that if you do not have the capability to find the files you need by yourself, that it is probably outside your capability to do anything useful with them. I don't suggest you don't try, but don't expect anyone here to be wildly impressed with what you produce.

This is what you need
If you are really serious about creating anything, then i highly recommend that you read the wiki pages under create. They are written by people who know what they are doing and are very helpful.
Apart from that, good luck
[EDIT] It doesnt specifically say where to find the images, but all you need to do is select the images folder rather than the data one

Not this again...
Your recent frankensteined units were of much higher quality. This is blobby and poorly shaded, with legs which meed its torso at the knees, arms which are too long, a head which meets the neck about about nose level, and a blurry, unclear weapon.
