I personally think that what you are doing is great so far! In some occasions milder is appropriate and similarly in some occasions more annoyed is justified. So I will leave it to you to decide what is best for the different lines. Overall it sounds really good! :D

Sorry about taking so long to see this :whistle:

Okay Great :D I will put that into the repository as well! If anyone wants to hear the voice acting so far, Erlornas, Gharsla, and the narrator have been added in the english folder for scenario 1 and 2 and should be able to run the campaign and hear them! :) I have done a noise reduction on the Gharsla and narrator lines and everything sounds really good.

@max_torch - I think though that Gharsla 2_3 needs to be reworked because it is slightly hard to hear the lines.

Also I noticed that there are extra lines in the deaths.cfg file. @max_torch - have they been included in your initial summary?

EDIT: Here they are:
Death of Erlornas

Code: Select all

            image=wesnoth-icon.png
            message= _ "Lord Erlornas never saw the blade that felled him. He died on the spot, with not a chance to issue last commands or farewells. Without him his wardens soon fell into confusion, and losing heart withdrew from the battle."
        [/message]

        [message]
            speaker=narrator
            image=wesnoth-icon.png
            message= _ "When reinforcements finally arrived, elves managed to dislodge the orcish tribe. But the threat from the north remained unresolved and loomed large over their future."
        [/message]
Death of Linaera

Code: Select all

        [message]
            speaker=Linaera
            message= _ "Alas, Erlornas, I have failed us..."
        [/message]

        [message]
            speaker=Erlornas
            message= _ "All is lost! Without Linaera’s help, I cannot hope to defeat these abominations!"
        [/message]

Ooo, I'll try and remember to get those lines done when I finish the last scenario.
I'm booked into the studio next week for some screaming and shouting so I'll be redoing some earlier lines too. A bit louder.

gonna look at some sound equipment later. the audio output of an amplifier/mixer can be input to the small microphone jack of a laptop right? with the correct cable and jacks?

Sadly I don't have a clue. I went for a good USB mic so I never have to worry or fiddle. That AT2020USBi is good

It will work yes. but if you intend to do more voice acting and generally invest in your future as audio equipment, then I'd recommend to get a microphone which uses not the small or big jacks, but which works with XRL cables. These however cannot be connected to your laptop directly, they need an audio interface.
"Focusrite scarlett 2i2 is the most popular choice since its price/quality will do it for many years. But there are cheaper out there. Any Interface with one XRL input will do it ...

Awesome ! 8) These lines sound really good. In particular I like the aggressive accent you gave the Orcs, it sounds exactly like I would imagine.
