Re: Italian Traslation

:? E se lo chiamassimo Avannotto Piranha...

Potrebbe andar bene usare semplicemente morsicatore? Sarebbe abbastanza vicino all'originale nibbler come traduzione.

And wmllint should've been able to update the portrait paths as well.

Never mind, the issue is 'Stored_jaash'... The griffin elder die before I could join him... couldn't save him... Sorry about that, but with so many things to do... I completely forgot about this one  But I still can't finish North Gate. Dam, i'm sad to give up this good campaign. I'll try to ...

Reclutare e richiamare unità, Terreni, Utilizzare le estensioni, Editor Mappe e Scenari, Grande Fiume. Thank you for the report! I fixed all of them. This sounds as something already fixed... but evidence says that is still alive and kicking... and that I must review/update my quality-check scripts...

Re: [mainline] there is a need for a en_US translation

But there are more severe bugs than fuzzy/untranslated that disable both English and translated text altogether. I mean mistakes introduced by translators in the Help formating that confuse parser and in such case the Help immediately disappears. I know about them, we had these in Czech translation...

Re: Winds of Fate 3.x.x (Drake Campaign for BfW 1.16)

Might I suggest renaming the unit to "Bladewing"? Rather straightforward but that's what this unit is...a bird that throws bladed feathers. Seems like an okay name, but it looks like now a redundant unit with the name "Razorbird" may be added to core. :hmm: About that PR, it isn...

Re: best way to update maps on different versions on BfW

It looks like this is the last version that works on Windows 7. There is a non-zero chance that the tools won't run on that version, but I don't think it's very likely. In this case, the chance of them not running is zero. I haven't updated my Ubuntu install to 22.04 yet, so I'm still using the Pyt...

Currently there's no such check implemented in wmllint, so running it won't be useful in this situation.

Re: Replacing Wesnoth's GUI

A possible problem I see with SFGUI might be its support status. The last commit in the repository happened on the 22nd of September 2020, which might mean that nobody's currently working on it.

Re: Project direction ideas moving forward

From name: It would open up quite a lot of game play opportunities if support for real ranged attacks gets implemented over the next development cycle. The feature was being worked on, but progress seems to have stalled: https://github.com/wesnoth/wesnoth/pull/4859 And as a general comment, I think...

Re: Extra keys in unit_type

In former versions (at least in 1.12) it was possible to add extra keys in unit_type, say something like "capacity=12" and this extra key was added to the unit created after this definition. I don't remember that this possibility was even documented. Certainly I've never used it! It's sti...

Re: Project direction ideas moving forward

I'd say just remove them. Thanks for your opinion :) That's what I was thinking to do as well, and I'll open a separate thread for the details. The all-time peak was 4 years ago (1019 active players). 3 months later the number dropped to ~200 and since then it hasn't improved much. This means the g...
