Re: nemaara's art (and other art for Genesis)

Noted. I've been taking a break from drawing demons myself and working on portraits for a more personal project. Looks like the winged demons are the ones that still need to be done. I'll probably make corrections to the female voidhunter and reaper (although they look slightly less terrible on my t...

That's great. I'll be playing them eventually.

Awesome. Does this mean the dragon trilogy is getting ported?

Re: Elves that are not Elves

If it's local folklore, it might not have an equivalent in english. Of course you could look up the etymology of the word and attempt to translate it to english then stylize it to get an english equivalent.

Re: nemaara's art (and other art for Genesis)

So, I'm not sure how progress on the campaign is going but I found some time to complete these portraits and decided I should post them before the end of the year. https://forums.wesnoth.org/download/file.php?id=85778 https://forums.wesnoth.org/download/file.php?id=85777 https://forums.wesnoth.org/d...

Re: BT attempts portraiting

I also made portraits for the male and female Voidreaver. I figured the Voidreaver and Voidwatcher look similar enough that making separate portraits for them is unnecessary.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

I recently completed the portraits for the Black demon line for Genesis. Below are the male and female variants of the Voidhunter and Reaper units.

Re: BT attempts portraiting

So I've been away for a long time. Here are a couple of sketches I made recently. No demons this time, but I did finish the remaining portraits for the black demon line. I mentioned in another thread that I'd like to try my hands at creating a sprite based on the Ancient Lich portrait, but I got a d...

Re: The Final Exam, version 3

Another thing I would like to point out about the names. Aside from Johnny, you have no real reason to change them, at least for the time being. Even if you do, you cannot just come up with random noises and call them "fantasy names". Names need to have logic behind them. Furthermore, &quo...

Re: The Final Exam, version 3

This feels like a project of it's own rather than an expansion of the original.

We're talking about mainline here. From what i understand, gimmicky abilities don't go well with mainline, but in UMCs, anything goes.

Celtic_Minstrel wrote: November 27th, 2019, 1:44 pm I disagree, honestly. Knockback isn't even all that weird an ability.
Of course the word i was looking for was "gimmicky" but if you say it's okay for mainline then I'm going to take your word for it.

Re: Reworking/Revising The Sceptre of Fire

There's one issue with adding the witness. It's basically a unit with a bunch of abilities and specials that dwarves don't usually have, all piled up on it. It made sense in the campaign he appeared in because he's a hero unit and kind of unique like that. Having the ability to recruit them is ridic...

Re: Reworking/Revising The Sceptre of Fire

Here's a suggestion on my part. Do something about Rugnur. The way he is now, you could have him completely removed and lose nothing. Not ideal for someone who's supposed to be the player stand-in. Krawg's lines appear to be really contrived, and on more than one occasion, end up really breaking the...
