On Windows, I always know that the action button is second from the right (usually says OK) and there are only a few cases when they get reversed. I'm used to Windows' standard dialog layout too. In Linux I feel more comfortable with KDE applications than with GTK1/GTK2/GNOME ones because of this r...

Good, because I'd like to help with the Spanish translation if there's no one or it isn't being updated. :)

You've got to install the development SDL packages too. They've almost the same name as runtime SDL packages. For example:  SDL-1.2.rpm -> SDL-1.2-devel.rpm  SDL-mixer-1.2.6 -> SDL-1.2.6-devel.rpm And so on. Don't worry about their sizes, they usually contain only a few small C header ...

Would that not require registratable names? It wouldn't require it. One possible way to do it would be to store that information on the local machine and when logging on to a server, send that info along with the username. And what should the user do if he/her loses the local files were that info w...

I don't know about track balls, but in my computers, when I enable the "show color cursors", Wesnoth ignores my mouse settings (tested with an old standard mouse and a light-based mouse, both in Linux 2.6.13 / X.org and Windows XP SP2, Wesnoth versions 0.9.6, 1.0.2, 1.1.2b, 1.1.10 and 1.1....

I think the current Goblin line is okay. A level 2 goblin would only fit as a campaign hero, *IF* someone creates a L4 orcish hero. Why wouldn't a L2 goblin fit? Because mainline orcs barely reach Level 3 (Orcish Warlord, Orcish Slurbow, (no Orcish Assassin line unit)). And remember, Goblins are wea...

Why not use a Desert Druid/Shyde/Star unit with the stone status on? Or was that feature removed from BFW 1.2?

It may be possible to place a special terrain under the unit too.

If I remember correctly, the GIMP can export multiple layers to animated GIFs. I used that feature before, but I don't remember exactly how it worked.

The best campaign! In this campaign you have to take some difficult decisions, i.e. which side you should ally with, which unit should receive the fire sword, which path you should follow, which units should advance, etc. That's what makes it so different from other campaigns (main-line and UMCs). T...

I think a Prince Troll: - Can't be level 5. It must be level 1 like normal Troll Whelps. - Can't be called "prince", because Trolls don't have such a hierarchical organization. - Can't be distinguishable from other Trolls. Important Trolls seem to be recognized by their strength, by the wa...

Re: impassable Mountains: reviewed

In my opinion, impassable mountains just look like regular mountains with some clouds and fog. These are not bad, the problem is they use the same base images of the regular mountains (plus clouds and fog). That's why, (at least for me) they don't look like special/impassable terrain. I'm no artist,...

Would a Troll King have a crown? I doubt they'd be able to make it, and if they got it from the Dwarves during a war, I doubt they'd know what it was. :P Let's just suppose Trolls aren't stupid enough so they can distinguish the difference between a golden crown and a rock. If you make a Troll king...
