Re: Era of Four Moons
It hasn't been ported to 1.18 yet but you could just copy your 1.16 files over. 1.18 has made few changes that affect addon eras.

Re: Wesnoth 1.18.0 — Draconic Invasions Update
Out of curiosity I ran trimage on the core wose.png sprite. 17.1% compression.Pentarctagon wrote: ↑Yesterday, 4:30 pm The PNGs were optimized already via https://github.com/wesnoth/wesnoth/blob ... optipng.py, though I don't know how that compares.

Re: Imperial Era
Hmmm my copy has that uppercased. The file also has a later date so I may have fixed this on my copy and shamefully never submitted it to github.
I checked vs 1.14 IE and it seems the id was uppercased for 1.16. Looks like nothing more than an oversight of a missed conversion.

Re: Wesnoth 1.18.0 — Draconic Invasions Update
I use a program that optimizes PNG's (sprites often shrink to 1/4 size!), perhaps that could have been done instead of changing to webp. It removes excess metadata plus it correct some RGB type errors to do with colours that show up in wesnoth logs for some PNGs. The program is called trimage image ...

Re: 1.19 nightly flatpak vs 1.18
So 1.19.1 would not be compatible with 1.18.1 you mean? Hmmm yes I think I understand, the 19.x isn't just a mirror of 18.x plus a few changes between each .x version. It will now diverge from it more and more. However it would still need to be based on 1.18.x only that over time more and more beta ...

Re: Galactic Empires (Wesnoth in Space)
The bug report here is that killing the enemy Hero using a beam-down tactic does not register as a kill, and thus, does not change the VP point for the killer. I posted earlier that I felt the beam kill is a cheap and cheesy trick that should be changed. In this at least the free kill isn't rewarde...

Re: 1.19 nightly flatpak vs 1.18
Hmm, when 1.18.1 is released I presume 1.19 master would include those changes so actually I should update 19 whenever a new 18 version is out.

Re: The High Seas (Naval MP Scenario)
BTW does it advise in the scenario description that if playing with less than 3 to set them to empty? That'd be good for first time players. Great idea, somehow I forgot about using the scenario description as a tool for communicating the setup instructions. Perhaps the biggest remaining issue bloc...

Re: 1.19 nightly flatpak vs 1.18
Oh that sounds neat. However I checked and I don't have that. Using flatpak 1.2.5 and I'm guessing that's in a newer version. Thanks for the tip though I'll use it when I get a newer version eventually.gnombat wrote: ↑March 26th, 2024, 2:48 pm You might want to useflatpak mask

Re: Galactic Empires (Wesnoth in Space)
Oh no, you posted that. : ) I'd like to plead that I was having an off day... squirrels in the attic, car in the shop for major repairs... you know, the usual RL stuff. But I had fun anyways. Don't give up the ship! Damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead! (And other such rot hehe) I'm a big fan of Bob...

Re: 1.19 nightly flatpak vs 1.18
I know, that's why I could just stop updating 1.19 for a while. I do it manually as with all updates.

Re: The High Seas (Naval MP Scenario)
Just ran it through and it's working great! Even won and the Purples being the main competition as intended. BTW does it advise in the scenario description that if playing with less than 3 to set them to empty? That'd be good for first time players. I did still run into a trio of cave bears and fled...

1.19 nightly flatpak vs 1.18
I have the former and was wondering if the 1.19 nightly is roughly the same as the official 1.18? I can download 1.18 addons into 1.19 so it seems like it. The main difference I know of is that 1.19 has it's own MP server so I can't play 1.18 MP online. Trying to figure out whether I really need 1.1...

Re: Scenario Review - EI 1 - The Outpost
(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? easy, 1.19, biased RNG, road move bonus - no reloading (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 2 - piece of cake (3) How clear did you find the scenario objectives? just fine (4) How clear and interesting did y...
