Isn't "de-capturing" a village just a special case of a village capture event? So, maybe it also fires that event? It should be it seems like, but the wiki says: "Villages becoming neutral (via [capture_village]) do not fire capture events." https://wiki.wesnoth.org/EventWML#cap...

I think that parses as (not item_sort) == "limited" and (not item_sort) == "potion", which will always be false because not can only ever return true or false.

Adding parentheses around the equality is fine, but I'd recommend using ~= instead.

[modification] doesn't have any meaning inside [event]. You can substitute [modify_unit] and it will be valid (although it still may not work unless you also add a filter), but as Pentarctagon says, you probably actually want [harm_unit] instead.

This is most likely caused by a filter or ability formula - search for instances of "owner" in WFL contexts. There are no instances of "owner" in Winds of Fate, nor in Lord-Knightmare's save file. How is a UMC author meant to debug this? There also seem to be no teleporting unit...

Here's a quick fix for people experiencing this issue: edit the file data/lua/core/mathx.lua to add the following line at the end:

It probably is possible to make the encampments an overlay, but I'm not sure that's the best option at least for mainline.

I'm pretty sure both of those are a coding problem, not an art problem. All the art is there as far as I can tell, you'd just need to define a terrain type and the graphics rules to put them together in the way you want.

I think the following replacement for that line should fix the issue:

If that doesn't work, try wesnoth.tovconfig and either helper.literal or H.literal.
