Re: Game Crashes on changing desktops
With SDL debug packages from Debian there is a little bit more info: Data directory: /usr/share/games/wesnoth/1.14 User configuration directory: /home/USER/.config/wesnoth-1.14 User data directory: /home/USER/.config/wesnoth-1.14 Cache directory: /home/USER/.config/wesnoth-1.14/cache [New Thread 0x7...

Game Crashes on changing desktops
To reproduce: Start Wesnoth fullscreen, change to a different virtual desktop. Sometimes it does not crash right way. Repeat until it crashes. OS: Linux Debian stable. Wesnoth: 1.14.5, but the latest development version also crashes. Language: English. Build: The Battle for Wesnoth version 1.14.5 Ru...

Re: insane campaign replays
What I see in debian shipped 1.9.5 (there is a oos message though) is that you killed the orcs in 29 moves.

Re: insane campaign replays
You would have to download 1.9.5, but you can see it here. I played pretty fast, so there are some poor moves, but this shows that it's possible. (I only recruited shamans, but I allowed recalls of loyal units as well.) Well, you did not come even close, imho. You would need a lot of turns to kill ...

Re: insane campaign replays
Basically it looks like every a couple of years or so all wesnoth replays become obsolete. Assuring backward compatibility is a trap you can get into. The game is better because the developers don't worry about it. Backward compatibility can be assured by including everything in the replay, not tha...

Re: insane campaign replays
To be honest, I searched "replay*" and I could not find any HTTT playable campaign replays. Everything is 1.6 or even older.

[Interface] Some suggestions
1. Subdirs for replays. In 1.8.5 I cannot create a dir for, say, some guy's HTTT replays to see them, I have to copy the files into "saves" directly and create a mess / overwrite my files possibly. 2. People always say Wesnoth is like chess. Oh rly? How come when I watch replays I cannot g...

Re: insane campaign replays
Too bad I cannot see those replays in 1.8.
BTW, how come wesnoth does not support subdirs for replays? Weird.

insane campaign replays
I keep hearing that somebody beat HTTT on hard using only healers, or doing no recalls, etc, etc. Sure there must be replays somewhere. right? Where can I get them?

Re: Scenario 4: Return to the Village
(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? Hard, 1.8.5 (7) What, if any, are changes you would have made to the scenario to make it more fun? Waay too easy with all the survivors from the previous scenarios. I did not have any problems finishing the enemy quickly. ...

Re: Scenario 2: The Chase
(1) What difficulty levels and game versions have you played the scenario on? 1.8.5, hard. (2) How difficult did you find the scenario? (1-10) 7, pretty hard. I mismanaged my troops in the previous scenario, and I did not have any level 2 units. If I had any loyals on before, I accidentally lost the...
