Re: fable_lake-Support-WML

If you post the code you have now, we can probably tell you what needs to be fixed.

Re: summoning skill

English is not my native language, so it is very difficult for me to read the tutorials. I see. You could try the campaign WML_Guide. It is very simple, and you can test your units with it. Did you say that you asked me to make my own summon skills by using the map editing function in the game? The...

Re: summoning skill

It seems that I can only give up the research of summoning skills temporarily You should give up the research into other peoples' code . I don't think you have the skills yet to use it properly. However you probably have the skills to make a summoning ability yourself! It doesn't need to be very co...

Re: Help needed with a "saviour" ability

There may be a language or terminology issue here, because I am more confused than before. I still don't know which part of the event is happening too early. Also, filters do not trigger, so I don't understand what you mean by that statement. I think this is what you want to have happen: Attack begi...

Re: Heir to the Throne (hard) - Shydes only playthrough

someone did a scouts only run, I think that might have been me I've done scouts only too. I've also done horsemen, mages, and shamans. I did a no-recalls run as well. (It sounds like a lot, but they were years apart.) I usually allowed recalling loyals. Horsemen is the hardest because of the underg...

Re: Heir to the Throne (hard) - Shydes only playthrough

I used the same rules once except for allowing sylphs. I thought shydes only was impossible because you would need sylphs for the damage on a few scenarios--particularly the last one. However, I failed to consider that one sylph costs as much as 2.8 shydes, so you can end up with a much larger air f...

Re: Attack changing targeted tile to snowy terrain

That was an interesting challenge. I had an idea of how to do it without copying and pasting a lot of rules. I didn't think I could explain it very well though, and I wasn't sure it would work anyway, so I just wrote it. Celtic_Minstrel's terrain masks are probably more elegant, but you can choose o...

Re: Improved AI Ally Control

For the [default], that is usually standing still on the keep anyways. Only when the enemy is multiple turns away. I wrote this after a leader jumped from his keep, passed through my line into the snow, and attacked a wounded enemy. He got mobbed and died easily before I had another turn, so I lost...

Re: Improved AI Ally Control

I didn't realize that the original one had been removed from the core, but I can see why it wasn't very popular: the AI's behavior seemed to be changed only in very subtle ways. I can't add it to the core myself (I've been out of the loop too long), and I'm not sure it's even possible at this point....

Improved AI Ally Control

Losing because the AI allied leader commits suicide is terribly frustrating. The mainline AI control macros don't prevent this in most cases, which is why I created my own menu items. I originally included them in The Founding of Borstep years ago, but these are newly refactored and now have icons a...

I agree that it looks a little off. It may be because a leg in that position usually bends backwards at the last joint just above the hoof.

Re: LordBob's random stuff : Nagas and more

Since this is a mythological creature, I don't know why an interpretation from a long time ago should automatically take precedence. Even so, Jinni were also connected to storms, sand, and anthropomorphic shapes, so this should be fine.

Re: how to remove traits

Ravana is saying you shouldn't use a trait at all. I agree because having it display in the trait line of the unit would be confusing for the player. Usually this kind of thing is displayed with [unit_overlay] , which puts a little icon above the unit. Another reason not to use traits is that they a...

I know you think about this stuff so...Is that high-level ringcaster intentionally trying to look like a horse? If so, why did he go with that motif?
