Soliton is away during christmas, so I commited update. Now it should be ok.

About Elvish Rider: we changed meele damage from 6-3 to 7-3 and increased HP from 42 to 46. Outrider also got 1 damage point more to his meele attack and +7hp.

I found another minor RIPLIB issue with the halbardier :
With his extra attack the hallebardier looses initiative versus a few units like woses or thiefs.
On a damaged unit vs damaged unit duel a pikeman may be preferable

7-3 melee? That could be good. I'll have to try it out. But, 9-2 -> 8-3 on ranged? :(

Noyga: Shaman->Druid and Shaman->Sorceress also have that problem. it was an oversight on my part that I will fail to correct due to sleepyness.

I have a question regarding RIPLIB:

Just say unit A can advance to either B or C.

B is a general improvement on all stats (except moves).
C however, while having improved HitPoints, has a (debatably) weaker attack with a different damage type.

Am I correct in saying this is acceptable? Because if the player wishes to keep the damage type of A, then she/he chooses to advance to B. But if the player wants to have the new damage type, she/he chooses C.

The question: does this set-up violate RIPLIB?

Yes this is acceptable ...
The idea is you shouldn't want to prevent your unit from leveling, so you need at least one advancement that is a strictly superior unit. You can have alternative advancements that are not strictly superior but are better in some situations.

White Mage (Mage of Light-Illuminates)
*Mermaid Priestess (Mermaid Diviner-Illuminates)
How does rule 1a and the Mages violating RIPLIB go together?
Why is the Mermaid Priestess only a minor violation and the White Mage not?

What? All Mage upgrades lose 2 damage per ranged strike in the Daytime. I think. In any case, I've found it rather noticeable.

Mermaid Priestesses are not used anywhere. (Or at least, hardly anywhere)
