A virtue which is in far too short a supply. :cry:

I originally thought that it was a general mirror breakdown, but I just updated my Gimp from SourceForge without trouble. :?

Does anyone know how to check on the SourceForge site if they are addressing this issue? Or if there is any chance whatsoever of this being addressed during the weekend?

I think appealing to patience would work far better if our user demographic had a much larger female component (although my wife wouldn't be one of them ;) )

I downloaded the OSX binary for 0.8 simply by changing the url for the 0.7.11 dmg to ...0.8.dmg at http://www.wesnoth.org/files/ ... I realise I'm probably not supposed to do this, but the file is there and downloads, so why sourceforge are having so much trouble mirroring it is beyond me...

Seems to work fine so far as well :)

Cheers,

Tim.

Not sure is any other binaries can be snaffled this way, I've not used my windows/linux machines for a week or two now...

Yeah you can get the files from http://www.wesnoth.org/files/

It's probably okay to use, but we really do want to move over to SF.

I have this feeling that Stosswelle's old english is easier to understand if you know german. :-D

Isn't old english derived from old german anyway ?

Old English and old German nearly sound the same, but there were some vowelshifts and changes in both languages. But it's somehow still easy to see how modern English evolved from a mix of Latin, French and German

When are the packed files ready to download? I'm a lazy bones who needs the one for Mandrake :roll:

Canst never has meant can't. It means can. As in "Thou canst not speak Old English correctly."
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.

Post by Tarbos »

It crashes about a half second after a game is started/loaded (yes, everytime i try),

with these lines displayed last:

BEGIN: player turn
BEGIN: config::write
END: config::write (took 3ms)
for turn 11, time of day 'first_watch' set ai_params to: ---
