Every time I look at it I think "ARGH those eyes are HUGE." That's pretty extraordinary, because oversized eyes usually don't do that to me.
It's all fun and games until someone loses a lawsuit. Oh, and by the way, sending me private messages won't work. :/ If you must contact me, there's an e-mail address listed on the website in my profile.
They look big because the wider part of them is in the wrong place, IMO. If the wider part were on the right (where the nose is pointing at), it should look less inhuman.
Also, i don't think that protuding forehead should prutode so much. The hair may need to be thinner in the front, following the curvature of the head/forehead, otherwise, i think this guy has realistic hairs but a hairdo out of this world.

Coloring shall come soon, as well.
Beware of sideburn.
(For everyone's reference, it took about 2 hours work for me to make this from Thrawn's original.)

I think it's a symbol of Jetryl. It looks like his avatar.highhole wrote:But why there is a second little face on the portrait, which looks nice too, IMO?

For curiousity's sake (and Thrawn's tutoring) - this is how I set up his portrait for tracing. And trace I did - it's what anyone would have to do when "inking" a drawing, either digitally or traditionally.
I tilted stuff around, and moved it into place. Also shoved the shoulders around a bit, although these had little correlation with the final positions, which I had to do some stretching of in my own ink (it took several tries to get it right - I can't say enough good things about CS2's image->transform->warp tool.).

Anyways, here's a final, colored version. Unless I hear any resounding complaints from Thrawn, I'll be committing this sometime soon.

You'd be tired too, if you had to catch food for all those grumpy dwarves.

very nice, and Zhukov points out my problem with line-art, not sure what is a line and what just turns into shading...
anyways, female thief, in style of other portraits...
EDIT: didn't neaten...here
EDIT2:cranking out sketches--unfortunately only MS Paint here, so noo other stuff getting done: bowman. I didn't know whether he wears hood or leather helmet, so I chose more interesting option.

The Archer sketch is generally good, but the strap holding the quiver in place doesn't go across the chest like it should. At least, it doesn't look like it does. It should be lower and more curved.
The Thief sketch has several problems; mainly, I don't see a nose, the line of her breast makes her look fat, and there's nothing to suggest she is a thief. She could be any generic peasant.
