Wesnoth 0.9.2
Wesnoth 0.9.2 is out!
Wesnoth 0.9.2 features lots of improvements in the user interface.
Several bugs in campaigns have already been fixed and lots of new death animations.
The Drakes get reinforcements, with their new level 3 units.
There are also a great number of changes regarding multiplayer balancement and most multiplayer maps have been replaced by new ones.
As usual, translations have been updated, and a new one, Serbian, has been added.
You can check details at http://changelog.wesnoth.org.
Downloads:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesn ... z?download
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesn ... 5?download
Wesnoth-lite should be fully working Wesnoth, it just lacks music and story
images (making it smaller and therefore faster to download):

As a fallback you can also get files from
http://files.wesnoth.org/ - you should first try to get files
through SourceForge to help us save bandwidth.
server.wesnoth.org will soon be running 0.9.2 and can be used for multiplayer games.
Instructions for bug reporting can be found -

Wesnoth xdelta file for Windows
I've just created and uploaded a xdelta file with the differences from 0.9.1 to 0.9.2 in Windows.
Basically, you can grab the file http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/wesn ... win.xdelta and apply it to the Windows 0.9.1a executable using XDelta, http://evanjones.ca/software/xdelta-win32.html to get the 0.9.2 executable.
That way you only need to download the xdelta file that is only 6MB.
Best regards

2. When i try connecting to the main server it says "server needs version 9.1 your current version is 9.2" it would be nice if you could fix it. Or is it my Windows xp that doesn't work well?
We haven't updated the server to 0.9.2 yet. That will be happening shortly.Martinus wrote: 2. When i try connecting to the main server it says "server needs version 9.1 your current version is 9.2" it would be nice if you could fix it. Or is it my Windows xp that doesn't work well?

thought you might want to know that.
Oh no look out its a ray gun.
You should move to avoid the rays
the rays are coming out of the gun
if you are hit by the rays
you will be shot by the rays
the rays are fast so you should be fast to
can you win against the fast rays from the gun?

It works fine for me. Probably your computer is demanding an HTML file, which that isn't; it is a simple text file.

Considering that most middleware seems to be coded by people who make things up as they go along without regard for the IETF standards, perhaps it's something even more basic, like it doesn't like the trailing '.' on the URL. This is actually the canonical way to express domain names. Does http://changelog.wesnoth.org/ work instead, or otherwise http://savannah.nongnu.org/cgi-bin/view ... g?rev=HEAD which is an alternative that avoids the indirection?
There have been many, many bugfixes and new features in this version, and we have attempted to thoroughly document the significant changes in the changelog. I would really recommend that serious players and WML coders take time to examine the changelog.

Note: this also seems to cough up errors when you have macro names in comments, such as (taken from the here on the wiki):changelog wrote: * new WML preprocessor, allows for nested parentheses in macros (#10995)
Code: Select all
#Instead of {RANDOM 0..155}, use {PSEUDORANDOM 156}. This is the only way to use it.
#You can use {VARIABLE_OP random add X} afterwards to get a higher range.
I'd like to know more details...changelog wrote: * next_scenario: tentative start of MP campaign support
