The old, unbalanced, 0.8.11

Post by Elvish_Pillager »

There have just been so many balance changes since the current version, that I have come to think of it as "The old, unbalanced, 0.8.11".

Just an interesting fact.

Well if you look at the changelog, the next release will be in some cases 3x the size of some earlier releases and 2x of the rest. Big release coming up.

Awesome! Do you mean 3 times the file size; or 3 times the added features?
Sorry for the meaningless post

3x added features. 3x file size would make it huge.

My guess is he computed this by looking at the length of the changelog, although this is probably not a very accurate way of doing things. For example, the elves getting a graphical update, which is, IMHO, a huge change, takes up the exact same amount of room as the human spearman getting new images did.

1) Stop writing like that, it's not polite.
2) Probably he'll be ahead of you in a moment anyway, so don't be so proud or anything.
3) If not, you'll be ahead of him, and you can wait till then to mention it, when your victory is secured.
4) I'm hot on your heels, if you're competing it'll soon be for second place.
5) It would be nice if moderator powers allowed splitting posts into pieces, i.e. the bit of turin's post that I quoted and this post off the rest of the thread, because
6) This kind of talk should be in off topic.

7) I also think that there are more than 3 times as many changes.
8)

The balance changes should be good; I spent about a week playing loads of MP, and came up with about the same changes Dave made. They seem to help.
So, stay tuned.

This has probably already been told, but when is it due to be released?

Postcount means nothing. The only thing it tells you is how much of your life you spend on the net, so it actually just shows who has a life and who doesn't... or who spams more in OT.

I say let's hide postcounts. They're evil. :D
