There were some discusions about giving the the grunt a further path, well here is an idea from me. An Orc with almost no armor, the only problem is I don´t really know which color orcs should have.

I like it, but for some really strange reason he looks undead to me. I don't know why.

Yeah, same here. I think I know why. There are 4 reasons:

1. He's really tall and gangly, which we associate with skeletons.
2. His hair is almost black, and frames his face in a way that makes it look dead.
3. His skin color does not appear to be the same as that of the other orcs.
and 4. The red looks like blood.

So, uh... I guess you should fix those, shadow.

1. He is as big as an orcish Warrior
2. changed
3. My biggest problem but it is the same color as the orcish leader has got
4. Not bad at all although it shouldn´t be his own blood

It looks better. Now, the biggest problem is his size. He may not be tall, but he looks tall and thin because he has very little flesh. I think you should make his torso thinner.

Actually if you look really closely at the orcish sovereign line which is closest the skin is actually green.

IMO the original was quite better.

I think this guy looks pretty cool, but maybe he could use something to make him look more decidedly orcish... I'm not quite sure what, though. Right now he looks kind of like he could be a human barbarian in a mask, or as mentioned above, a zombie of some sort.

But he's the only green one, as far as I can tell... all the other orcs and goblins are brown.

The Orc/goblin lines are stupid.

It should be Orc Ruler and Grunt line should be the hard hitting Orcs, and all these little Goblins are more widespread and become these small and in some cases weak, Archers, Spearmen,Assassins and maybe Wolf Riders. But right now the Wolf needs to have more brown, furry skin. And the grunt needs to become more green, gaining the green skin, as these are obviously much larger creatures then the rest. I was going to adjust the wolf riders but i haven't got round to it, and if Shadow feels like adjusting the grunt line, he might as well adjust the Wolf rider line as well while he's at it.

No green orcs. Green orcs bad.
Save the green for the saurians.

I do agree that the wolf needs some retouching, especially in shape.

Indeed. Green orcs is IIRC a warcraft invention; while that doesn't mean we should avoid it, it means we shouldn't make them green out of a sense of keeping with tradition.

The kind of brownish-tan color we are using now is IMHO pretty good.

Oh, and if we're going to switch over to non-green skin for orcs, we need to change the orcish leader/sovreign/whatever line. It has a very green skin...

And its skin needs to be a uniform color. Right now it has white skin on its head (or is that some odd kind of mask?) and brown skin elsewhere.

I like the brown, furry orcs. Just like the orcs from Ultima V, only with better weapons.
