The Fall of Wesnoth Campaign version 0.0.12 released

This thread is for feedback on the campaign The Fall of Wesnoth.

There are currently 4 scenarios coded. I am waiting for the next scenario's dialog currently. I am coding it and The Great Rings is writing a Storyline for it. I will release more scenarios as i receive the information from him.


It is recommended that you play through Rebellion During the Dark Age before you start playing this campaign.

In the Meantime what do you think of the balancing?

oops forgot to define the x and y value for units. :oops: i'll fix it ASAP

EDIT: It is fixed and should be totally working now.

NOTE: the version found on the 1.6 server needs Wesnoth 1.7 terrain pack installed for it to work properly.


When Reporting an error Please include the version of wesnoth you are playing on and the Operating System of your computer. This information is important because i need it to properly diagnose the problem.

what extension? the dependency?
the dependency is just music files. install UMC MUSIC. i am currently trying to get working.


It is fixed and i've reuploaded it to the add-on server.

It is Rebellion During the Dark Age. i recommend playing through it before playing this campaign because this campaign takes place 20 years after it.

Just downloaded, and thought I'd make a few comments (by the way, I'm very impressed with how fast you coded it, but maybe that's just because I'm lazy :D ).

First, the sergeant's name changes between the intro to the scenario and the rest of it. Second, in hindsight the orcs could really benefit from some wolves here due to the size of the map (the ai only recruited archers and grunts). I suppose this would effect balance though, so it might be more trouble than its worth.

On the positive side, I loved the choice of music for the intro. Possibly my favorite mainline Wesnoth tune, so I'm really glad you picked that one. :D

well i'fll fix the name change and i'll add a recruitment pattern. i made it so that the orcs could come at you with grunts, archer and wolf riders. but appearently it need a recruitment pattern to function properly.

Ok, cool.

Edit: keeps quitting on turn 14, just after the orc leader speaks. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it something with my computer only?

Hi, I've got a error msg "Unknown character type-lieutenant" in the first scenario. It's only me and why ? Sorry, I don't know a lot about infor.

is this the entire error? or is there more? what version of wesnoth are you using and what Operating System?


also i won't be able to fix the campaign at least until next tuesday unless i do end up gioing to buy a new computer

I'm using 1.6.4 version, and the correct msg is : "unknown unit type - lieutenant"

Probably because the second scenario hasn't been finished yet. I've been meaning to get on that. :wink:

that is exactly why you get that error. i put this as the next scenario id because i believe(but i'm not positive) unless i give an id for the next scenario the game will not load your previous game once you update it(which won't be necessary until i get the dialog for the next scenario from the great rings.)
