Longbow's MP Era for 1.6

Hi,

I have recently modified my era for 1.6, including new factions and features aswell as wml updates.

Also, some may know of the unique caravan system incorporated into the MP scenario/map packaged with my campaign. This enables team-mates to send gold, via caravan, to fellow team-mates and is primarily designed for local games where players can make pacts etc. or agree to swap troops for money.

My ultimate aim would be to get separate art for each race's caravan, with a base and defence frame, (currently I have outdated SoF image and a base frame for the undead caravan) so if you're interested in helping with that please say so.

The factions now include:
Elves - default with wose sapling, elvish hunter, warrior spirit added
Dwarves - default with miner, runefighter, ancestor
Northerners- default with goblin tamers, new orcish leader line graphics from Jetryl, sea orc, troll hero update,
Loyalists - horseman commander, squire, mounted squire, modified sergeant
Undead - many corpse variations aswell as skeleton rider, death baron, different leaders
Drakes - default but with Neoriceisgood's new base frames
Dark Elves - from EE
Outlaws - default plus lvl 0 'brute' and new rogue magi graphics
Desert Elves - from UtBS and with sand troll and naga hunter added

Sub factions: (for special mp scenarios etc.)

Trolls - hero, shaman as leaders
Nagini - fighter, hunter, guardian,
Merfolk - all mer-people

I would greatly appreciate any feedback or ideas you can offer (but please bear in mind that the units and recruit lists are designed for coolness rather than balancing)

I really like the new art. The new art for the drakes made it a lot more fun for me to play them. I also like how you added some of the units from campaigns to it. You might want to add the drakes attack frames

Thanks, I'm glad you like it :)

Also, thanks for those frames, I'll add them as soon as possible

[Edit: I've added all those anims, however the old drakes had different numbers/anims so I've had to fit them as best I can. As these drakes will *hopefully* be in mainline soon, I will update them then. My effort will be in the next upload of the era.]

New version, 0.5.6 is out, with minor changes including:

# New team-colored unit-switch icons
# Caravans are now level 0 and so lose Zone of Control
# Frost Wyrm enabled as Dark Elf leader
# Minor ID changes to some units
# Some drakes now have up-to-date attack animations

I see certain undead units are not required.
Ancient dwarf and other undead that is similiar to souless/walking corpse is not required.
You should take some units from other era to put into your faction in the era you have there.

I just love to see your art when comes to troll hero.
I hope i can see great troll art as well.

I think it would be cool if you used eternal's troll hero. It is awesome

One of my projects for the summer is animating the hero and great troll, so wait til it goes mainline...

Sorry, haven't been on the forums for a while

The troll is probably already in the latest version, although I can't remember whether the version on the server uses it.

As for the comments on the undead, they are meant to be just the different corpse variations, so that an undead player can choose specialised types and experience their awesomeness...

@TSI: It would be great if you can animate Eternal's great sprite, and I see you are updating the Dwarf Scouts, also featured in my era :)

However, my era serves as a kind of artwork preview of the latest units on the forums, so I tend to add units with a good base frame and then, as the unit gets new anims or is mainlined, I include that.

I thought this thread had died long ago, good to see some people are still interested in my era, although admittedly I haven't worked on it, or indeed my campaign, for a while now.

Wow, even an automatically generated list hates me... or perhaps I have to submit something?
