How to kill Longbowmen?

we are currently in a 3v3 team game, and the only leader left from the other team is a longbowman. We have rebels, so how are we supposed to kill it? It has no negative resistances (I already checked!) and it can hurt every of our units!

Well we sent them towards him but even at night he deals retaliation damage,
so the only solutions we had were the no-retal berserker of TemplesOfTheNagas
or the Dark Warrior (Dark Elf) of the Era of Magic who has the no counter-attack.
Unfortunately we started with Default Era and another scenario

Have a talk with him about the benefits of a pacifist lifestyle?

Explain to him the natures of using a bow for hunting instead of killing, and how it will plague his conscience?

Use units with strong melee attacks and at least a bit of resistance to pierce. Woses are lovely with 60% resistance.

explain him how it works becoming a lich
as we learned at one of the campaigns, you first have to kill yourself and die while doing some ritual thing
when he kills himself and dies you will have won instantly even if he becomes a lich as he was the last leader left
the only problem: you need an altar first...

Send the bowman a big Wooden Horse and say its a christmas present as your units jump out and throw confeti all over him

Deal damage to it equal to or greater than its maximum hit points.
