A little more dissonance in this one - trying to get a bit of a feeling of chaos without going over the top.

Nice. :o The only part that strikes me as being a bit off is 0:45-0:50. I have no idea what I should call that brief rhythm/beat/whatever shift or whatever it is or how to describe it, though (even when I know it and have used it myself), so I'll just hope you know what I mean and why. ;)

Sounds cool. So you're Doug Koufman. Good to meet you. Just curious, what samples are you using?

That's amazing. I love the emotion that it conveys. This theme could be useful in a lot of different campaigns/battles.

Doug, nice! The manipulation of your soundfonts is very skillful. Perfect job with the mixing. :)

Hey Jeremy-
I'm a big fan of the East West stuff - this one uses their gold bundle and symphonic choirs with wordbuilder.

The word builder really kicks my trash. It's my next project to finally figure out how to use the blasted thing so that I can do the cool choir stuff. It amazes me how different sounding the EastWest libraries can sound under different hands.

nice job! Did you use the same application for the mix?

Wordbuilder is a bit of a bear to get running smoothly, but it's a lot of fun to play with once it's set up.
I use Pro Tools for programming and mixing.

Another nice piece. Thanks, Doug!

I agree with you regarding Wordbuilder. It's tricky, but fun. You will hear it in the piece I'm STILL working on for Wesnoth (back burner because of another project).

0:42 - sounds like the violinist stumbles
0:45-50 as zookeeper said

I think you did a wonderful job on the brass melodies. You use very nice contrast between the strings and the brass, but the strings are too playful and light hearted for my tastes.
