3x3 small map siimilar to lsar's cross (6p_Isar's_Hamburger)
hi, everyone
i have made a 6p map similiar (at least i think) to lsar's cross.
let's make the map better together if u like it.
gimme advice, or feel free to make fixed version.
here are some advice(-) i have already been given, and what i noticed later below(>)
- change sand at 5,14 to grassland for recruited 5mp(move points) units at 4,14 in west-southern keep to reach the village at 7,12
> i once agreed with it. but 5mp unit at 5,15 can reach it.
- the central keeps have an extra castle terrain. it can be reduced to be same as side keeps.
> center player can support quickly side players, so i like it.
i like the name "Isar's Hamburger" but this map may need more suitable name. any good idea?
thank you for reading.

i didnt know it. i am a noob here
thanks again:)
thanks again:)
I like the idea of expanding Isar's Cross to 6 players. This map was a little too crowded for my taste, though, and found that teammates didn't divide the starting villages well. Maybe something like this 2v2v2 would capture the look and feel a little better.

The map tag doesn't seem to be handling the spaces on the top and bottom well (as far as I can tell... I'm using firefox 1.5).
Teams are 1 & 6, 2 & 5, and 3 & 4.
With this map, the only problem I had was that with fog on, I often couldn't see action going on between the other two teams, and with the slower pacing of a 6-player game, that made waiting for my turn a bit boring. I guess that's a general problem with fog and games with more than 2 teams, though.

I think this map is really different.
When we playtested zousan's map, everyone enjoyed it : it's basically a quick single front action. The gold settings are very low so that the 6 players front isn't crowded.
I personally really like Isar's Hamburger; I think zousan is only asking for balance issues. But I guess perhaps he's looking forward to changing the concept, too.

Thank you, Dovolente, Konrad II
yes, i was asking mainly for balance issues, and for any good idea to make it more fun too.
So Dovolente's map looks also a fun. it looks great. Good job.
By the way, i have made a better change to this Humberger map, called Miniburger (another thread is open now). So i am stopping making this map for a while.
thanks a lot.

http://www.wesnoth.org/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=Isar wasn't anybody special. He was a unremarkable Elvish fighter, fighting for his leader, Supreme Commander Noy. On one fateful evening, with the undead hordes seemingly poised for victory, Isar the Valiant did not retreat, but stood up againt the tyranny of the undead. He held off the attack of two dark adepts and one skeleton throughout night, providing the forces of Supreme Commander Noy much needed to regroup and counterattack in the morning, ultimately leading to victory.
Isar however perished during his valiant defence, but his namesake lives on in the territory he died to protect. He is a towering symbol to all elvelings on how one elf can make a difference, no matter how hopeless a situation may seem.
