Dwarfen thunderer

Post by Shadow »

OK perhaps a little bit much for a person who did almost no images for Wesnoth the thunderer line it looks great but it seems that there are eyes under their helmet. I made a small edit what do you think?

I think... too gun-y. And the helmet suddenly got darned shiny. There's something else that's annoying me incredibly, but I just can't put my finger on it...

What unit is too gun-y

The dragon guard is almost the same

the Thunderguard is mostly changed the gun is original

the thunderer and the thunderguard is 1 or 2 pixel higher then the original

Ah now i think I´m seeing it

It would be good if his beard was not the same color as his armor

I'm not sure whether those changes are necessary or even preferred.. especially in the case of the Dragonguard. But I'll leave that to the art guys..

eyes are much too shiney. they look almost glow-in-the-dark, sort of like how gollum's eyes are described.

one thing to note is that as far as i've seen, dwarves don't have white eyes, they have black eyes. I think this is intentional, because white eyes contrast too much with their dark beards and overall dark complexion.

No, the Ulfserker is the only one and it's got much less contrast in its eyes anyway.

I like the eyes now, but the other changes are pretty bad IMO. Your dragonguard looks better now though, but the Thunderer is worse and the Thunderguard is terrible.

You made them taller, less Dwarvish. The Thunderguard's helmet is no longer shiny and its beard is really unreaslitic looking. The Thunderer is much less compact and its gun looks like a gun, nothing like something I'd call a 'thunderstick'. Same for the Thunderguard. The Thunderguard's helmet looks like it's going to fall off.
