Maybe this could be the "Orchish Slurbow" someone suggested as a third level of the orchish archer line

I suggest changing the colour scheme a bit, though - too similar to the crossbowman
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the drug store, but that's just peanuts to space.

My apologies, because you could not have known this without reading something posted somewhere else.

THIS IS A REPLACEMENT FOR THE CURRENT ORCISH ARCHER.

I asked him to make it, since I believe he is capable of doing so. Neo made the slurbow, and I'm gonna try and get a copy of it from him and implement it. The idea behind this unit is twofold - 1] differentiate the two current units 2] make a smooth path up to the slurbow

--------

That said, Shadow, ignore what he said, keep everything the same, and make him maybe 3-4 pixels taller. Also, don't move the tassel/ribbon on his head - it isn't coming out of the middle top, it's a loose bit of cloth from the bandanna thing wrapped around his head that is blowing in the breeze.

Otherwise, looking great.

Again, I'm sorry Josh - I don't mean to sound like a dick, but this point does need to be made, quickly and clearly, so work doesn't get wasted.

looks like he's going to stab himself in the head
:D

Edit.... imagine how you would hold that knife. It would probably be tilted outward and the arm would be down more towards horizontal.

No offence taken. I wasn't real "up" on the slurbow and if I had known that this was artwork by request, I wouldn't have suggested anything different.

I'd like to see the Slurbow implemented. I believe the stats are in the Unit thread.

The goblin spearman guy is gonna need a bunch of work. It's mostly the complete lack of shading that burns him right now.

HOWEVER, wonderful work on the xbowman. I'll plop him into the right images, and get him in game.

And then, I'll don my asbestos suit, and try to argue for the implementation of the slurbow.

Would you consider

Shadow, would you consider taking a crack at the Orcish Archer as well?

what's wrong with the orcish archer? He's supposed to be short.

I just think he'd look better one or two pixels taller is all :) Make him just a little taller than the goblin... Just a bit... But you're the art guru :)

I though the orcish archers were supposed to be shorter and smaller than the burly orcish warriors. I think it makes sense for at least the level 1 orcish archer to be smaller.
