Also, don't forget about the blade base frame and defence.

Coming up next.

This should be a pretty good stab at the completed animation.

Looks pretty good to me. I'll need to run it past Jet though, and it probably won't make 1.7.3, unfortunately. But great work either way =D

Is blade-defense-1 also the blade base frame?

No, it's slightly different. Overlay the one over the other, you should see.

Are you sure? The .zip file Jet posted only seems to contain -blade-1(to 5) and -blade-defense-1(and 2).

Minus the potential base frame, here is the full animation. If it all looks good I'll zip it up and see what Jet says.

Ta.

Hopefully near-finished version, so I included the zip file. TSI or Jet - you're perfectly welcome to do any clean-ups needed.

And onto the Dragonguard, starting from the base frame this time, I hope I'm giving the impression of the big old coat he wears :)

Looks good. Feel free to extend the blade a little, too. i know he still weilds a dagger, but with the power fo his attack, it can be a bloody big one =D

Okey-doke, will do :)

Updated: fine detailing is hard, but somewhat rewarding. I would have loved to have done a flame-bladed knife/sword style weapon, but it would have ended up too huge for any dwarf to wield, or just looking very bad.

By the way, I really like what you did with the cloak on the T'guard's defence animation - it's great to use the cloak that way, since it's a fairly realistic piece of defensive equipment in a melee - tangling and deflecting blades.

Thanks :) it's something I might try and expand on a little in the D'guard.

Do you want masked versions of these for ThoT?

Umm, probably. I could probably take care of that, though. It really doesn't take long.

Everything here is looking great, but IMO you should really have the cape whipped back by air resistance in frames 1-3. Other than that, you're pretty much doing a perfect job, so this is incredibly helpful. :D

Try and imitate something very much like lord-axe-2 to lord-axe-5.
