Problems with Invasion of Eliador

When I was playing the scenario "Mt. Sinon", there were 2 problems:
1. There was no lava.
2. Even after I added the lava, I would mysteriously receive " You have been defeated" messages.

I think the scenario is fixed in 1.2.9 (you might have to start the campaign from the beginning).
