[Complete] Tournament of Champions 1v1 season 2!

Post by Becephalus »

Since the 2v2 tourney isn't going to be until after 1.2 comes out Doc and I thought we would run another quick 1v1 Tournament begining next weekend.

There will be 16 slots availible (maybe 32 if a million people respond), preference will be given to established players, it is possible we will set up a provincial list for those who want to play a play-in game. As a general thign to keep in mind, many of the players here will have been playing for over a year, and almost all for several months. So if you just started playing MP a few weeks ago this is probably not for you. Other than that the rules will be the same so I will just repost them.

Round One will begin next Saturday at 18:00 GMT. In the interest of moving things along, I'll allow contestants to start their matches up early or late, provided both players agree. You need not wait for me to appear- The important thing is that you PM replays to Doc Paterson, OR post them in the replays thread.

The coin-tosses to determine P1 in each first game will be posted with the bracket on this coming Thursday. If I list your name first in your matchup, you won the coin toss, and should make sure to put yourself in the P1 slot in your opening game. Remember to switch player-sides after every match, regardless of the winner/loser.

The "goal" for the weekend is to complete a best of three series.

The map slate for round 1 will be posted by shortly. Look for a sticky with more updates and the final information.

Some of you may remember the "choose your dino-avatar" concept. Entrants who haven't already reserved dinos (most of the top finishers from the last tournament have done so) will be able to choose one after you advance to Round Two.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about:

Don't sweat it. It's just a little something for fun, involving the Hall of Eternal Champions. It'll be explained before Round Two begins.
I will not tell you my corner / where threads don't get locked because of mostly no reason /
because I don't want your hostile disease / to spread all over the world.
I prefer that corner to remain hidden /
without your noses.

Its Sat noon in US and SUn morning in East Asia, only fair way to include everyone.
