Battle for Wesnoth nominated for Project of the Month
Battle for Wesnoth was nominated for the Project of the Month March 2014 along with nine other open source game projects at Linux Game Awards

Voting is open for all until the 24th February and the winner will be promoted for one month on participating websites.

Great news ! … and apart from the good publicity:
it´s so refreshing to see BfW being properly cherished and honored in the "outerworld",
unlike the kind of frustrating – imo unjustified ! – thinking / mood on the forums lately.
Comparing "our" game with the latest, surely estimable competitors
("Tales of Maj’Eyal", for example, is quite inspiring regarding faction naming):
I appreciate the "nostalgic", much more heart-warming graphical interface of Wesnoth even more,
and hope it will never become a modern 3D kingdom.

once again thanks to linux for giving wesnoth PR which was actually the reason why i discovered wesnoth because they included it with KNOPPIX
