I first heard of the game a short while ago when it was ported to RISC OS by Peter Naulls (http://www.drobe.co.uk/riscos/artifact1246.html). I've just played it a little today and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent - a nice little strategy game

Re: How did you find out about Wesnoth?
I found out because Wesnoth was recently added to the Linux Game Live Project. I must say, I am VERY glad and consider myself fortunate at finding such a great game. It is very addictive...Dave wrote:So how did people find out about the game?
Edit: that is the Linux Live Game Project (http://tuxgamers.altervista.org/llgp.php).
I ended up finding it on the Google Directory under http://directory.google.com/Top/Games/V ... /Freeware/
I had previously been looking on http://www.gamehippo.com (my favorite free games site) for a free strategy game, but they don't have much of a selection of strategy games there... maybe someone should let them know about Wesnoth? I'd do it myself but their "add game" form kind of implies to me that it's up to the game's developer(s) to tell them about a game.

IIRC, technically we're not freeware... oh well.Draconio wrote:I ended up finding it on the Google Directory under http://directory.google.com/Top/Games/V ... /Freeware/.

Consider yourselt to have the behest of the developers to do it.Draconio wrote: I had previously been looking on http://www.gamehippo.com (my favorite free games site) for a free strategy game, but they don't have much of a selection of strategy games there... maybe someone should let them know about Wesnoth? Re: that s were i found wesnoth
At first, I thought this was some "blog-spammer", but following the link, I corrected my first guess. It is a German language Linux game site.ruebe wrote:http://www.holarse.de/

By the way, I did submit it, though they haven't reviewed it yet. I posted before but the forum seems to have eaten it.Dave wrote:Consider yourselt to have the behest of the developers to do it.Draconio wrote: I had previously been looking on http://www.gamehippo.com (my favorite free games site) for a free strategy game, but they don't have much of a selection of strategy games there... maybe someone should let them know about Wesnoth?
