I realy don't see the need for this. I ussualy play with standard settings on standard maps but I don't need to join some order or endorse the type of game I prefer.

Then don't post here? I do believe this is to entice people to join the order, not for people to state why they will not. Even if you will not join, you are still supporting them with your play style.

The main thing is the OCW-nick tag, which gives possibility to distinguish people willing to play sane games from the rest.

The initial post states it clearly enough, you're already in it. :eng:

The rights of a member of OCW include but are not necessarily limited to:

1. To invoke infallibility at any time, including retroactively.
2. To completely rework the OCW church.
3. To baptise, bury, and marry (with the permission of the deceased in the latter two cases).
4. To ex-communicate, de-ex-communicate, re-ex-communicate, and de-re-ex-communicate (no backsies!) both his-/her-/it-/them-/your-/our-/His-/Her-/It-/Them-/Your-/Our-self/selves and others (if any).
5. To perform all rites and functions deemed inappropriate for a member of OCW.

I have been saying this for a while, but no matter what we say, two things are true:

1.People will keep on making novel scenarios like Orocia (which used to be called Top Scrolling Wesnoth, and before that was called Coliseum, and was probably called many other things as well)

2.Those different scenarios will be popular for a while, and then people will return to playing duals/duels. Because Wesnoth isn't about getting units with 500 HP. Every other game on the market is about getting the super units. Wesnoth is about holding a village with a Footpad that has 5 HP left, and winning the game because of it.
Don't go to Glowing Fish for advice, he will say both yes and no.

Actually the second point is wrong, OCW isn't a church and it's a slightly dogmatic formation - we can't let people meddle with the Quite Major Dogma.

I think too this OCW is a nice idea. There are too many "bad" games.

By the way, with the lastest game version and the implementations of the multiplayer server and different functions (add friends, for instance), maybe in the weeks and months coming some Guilds/Alliances/Orders go to appear :).

Are you referring to the Wesnoth Allied Rebels aka -WAR- ??? hehehe

Coming soon...

EDIT 1: Ah! By the way, I also entirely support OCW idea. It is a bit disappointing to level up in one-kill, to recruit 5 units per turn or to fight without being able to maneuver. It reduces, in my mind, the strategical and tactical aspects of the game, taking it further from the realism of battles (being able to go around the enemy with quick units for instance).

But seriously, too many Xtreme Ultimate Survival on the server. That sort of stuff is only acceptable for online games whose default is not as awesome as Wesnoth.
