Favorite Wesnothian Cliche
Ok, I'm in the middle of a boring telecon, so here is a question for all of you (inspired by recent discussions on other threads). What is your favorite Wesnothian cliche. Note that this is meant to be POSITIVE. No negative comments (that would be a different thread.) There should be no need to be argue about wether something is really a cliche. I guess this stems from my opinion that cliches are fine, what makes them interesting is putting the particular Wesnothian spin on the old cliches. To start it off, my favorite cliche, is the young naive Konrad having to grow into a great warrior/leader under the tutelage of a wise old Delfador. The only thing that is missing is the death of the tutor...

Wasn't Delfador supposed to die in the original storyline?Darth Fool wrote: The only thing that is missing is the death of the tutor...

Yup, it still might happen I think. But that information was probebly removed as it was a spoiler.blackjack wrote:Wasn't Delfador supposed to die in the original storyline?
My contributions to the Wesnoth Project over time are inversly proportional to the number of registered forum users!

why remove it just because it is a spoiler? it says at the top of the page "SPOILERS!"Kamahawk wrote:Yup, it still might happen I think. But that information was probebly removed as it was a spoiler.blackjack wrote:Wasn't Delfador supposed to die in the original storyline?
But i think the idea of delfador dying is just too cliche. and the time for it has passed- it was supposed to happen at the elven council. (so has the time for SPOILER: kalenz being a traitor)

Re: Favorite Wesnothian Cliche
actually, I removed this, because the storyline was insanely out of date (it was missing several scenarios, such as Isle of the Damned). It was listed as happening at Elven Council, so I thought that since EC didn't contain it, someone must have decided against it.turin wrote:why remove it just because it is a spoiler? it says at the top of the page "SPOILERS!"Kamahawk wrote: Yup, it still might happen I think. and my favorite cliche is undead having weird resistance, etc.
