It seems to me that there are a lot of parallels between this mission and a certain part of Lord of the Rings.

The cuttlefish is definitely a nice touch.

There's even dialog that refers to the abundance of tentacled creatures in mountain lakes.

I liked this mission alot. Nice way to get Kalenz leveled up.

Who can't resist the temptation to put a Kraken everywhere there is some water? Who can't cross a big mountain without see glorious doors?
